This is an ongoing problem. Flint and steel.

Learnt how when I used to shoot black powder.

They had comps for kids to see who could light a fire fastest using a flint & steel. Still got them somewhere too. It's easy when you know how. Buggered if I'd work it out without being shown though.

What's the smallest you've seen and where? I've only seen the standard size here for 7.62mm or what ever it is. And they are too big.

They are great though. All my high country caches are in ammo boxes.

I have a cache in a hole under a lid in a fixed structure that is constantly getting water in it. I've tried several containers but no joy. I'm limited by the size of the hole and the council wouldn't take kindly to me modifying it. A container would have to be either round or square and about 120-1...

I used one as a stage in a multi on a recent event.

It took about 8 or 10 people half an hour to find it - which could extrapolate to 5 hours for 1 cacher.

I had hoped it would take longer as we were camped in that spot for two days and I wanted to watch frustration develop.
