Re: GeosportZ 2012 - Questions and Clarifications
Sorry if this has already been asked, but for the 4x4, do the three other registered users have to be present with you, when you found the cache? Reason i ask. Yesterday, I found a cache with ...lets call him bob (who is a registered user of GC!) That evening when i was logging my finds, i found tha...

Re: Well this is getting trickier...
Out of the 30 GC's within 2km of my house, i havent found...5 of them.
Two of them are 5 star puzzles. FML.
Two of them are unloved and poorly maintained
And the other one is on a hill i am too unmotivated/generally too injured to climb.

You almost mug randoms, because they have an Oz Mega bag... (as in one of the purple enviromental bags), which judging by the age, they most likely either attended with their family, or their parents attended only. To the small girl from ACT Scouts band, that i most likely scared yesterday, i'm sorr...

Re: How to identify a Cacher?......
I've had the "Have you found it yet??" comment backfire on me as well, when i was hunting for a bunch of frogs a couple of months ago. Seriously, who wonders around, looking in trees, in the middle of a small forrest, in the middle of canberra? :-k (That was an awkward conversation. Yes, those frogs...

Re: You know you're a Geocacher when............................
You are travelling down the hume highway, past Albury, after waking up from a nap, notice there's a building called "geofabrics", and your first thought is "was that made for the mega?" (second thought was "no, that must be where camo material is made, duh..") and confuse your muggle friends. :) (an...

when you can see a cache container in just about everything you look at. Like Diabetes Test strip containers(Which are slightly smaller then a 35mm film canister but better). I bought a tube of Warheads Extreme Sour Candies - just to get the container which looked good for a cache hide :D And boy w...

Re: Chaos in your town
Aww...for some reason it only shows the side of my house (oh the joys of living on a corner), which is odd, as if you street view my house normally, it shows the front..
I hadnt thought about blowing up workplaces .etc until just then, that could be a good form of entertainment/stress relief!

Re: Hiding Caches with a Smartphone..
That's great news 2max :) Did have to think about this, today. My father/step-mother were talking about hiding a cache (which i'm ok with, they've both gotten about 50 finds or so under the belt now, and he seems keen which is good..), but i know that they dont have a gps. Offered to lend them mine,...

Re: Android GPS problem
Hmmm...
I had my wildfire say yesterday, that i was located in North Queensland. I even fired up the GC app, and yeah! It still showed my location as queensland!!
...i was sitting in Canberra.
Is that a GPS problem?
