Re: Trying to find my first ever cache - inner Melbourne in 2005

Ah, yes. What caughtatwork said. Only not that cache. There's only one other that I can think of -- a long multi that finishes somewhere around there -- but that only dates back to 2006. I've been caching in Vic since 2007 and would have* found any traditional that was there (since I lived not far f...

Re: Trying to find my first ever cache - inner Melbourne in 2005

Not sure which cache but I reckon that's Dawson St police depot, in Brunswick. The rail line (and a bike path) runs down the back and there's a railway overpass in the vicinity.

Re: Top Caches in the world

From that link - "An Australian cache was concealed in a burned-out car that was pushed off a cliff;" And I thought Geocachers were supposed to follow a beneficial environmental creed. Sounds like this cache, although as it is a GCA is probably isn't A Valiant Effort Cheers 8) Don't you just...

Re: Geosportz

If you want to go swimming in July, that's your choice (thanks SamCarter :-)) I'm not sure I'd call what I did "swimming": more wallowing on a lilo. (I'm glad it wasn't proper swimming since Ballarat in August is/was just a tad chilly). http://hchick.net/geocaching/images/FetchSC.jpg At least you h...

Re: Leap Frog registrations are now open

An issue with my computer being stolen from home while I was overseas means I need to wait for a replacement before I can recover the sites and do the updates. This also applies to the rewards system. My sincere apologies for the delay in getting your prizes out. ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) :stabby :stabby :...

Re: Improving Moveable Caches

I was about to say "You guys are awesome" but I have to hold it in reserve for a minute or two. It's not quite working (for me) yet. I get the extra line that begins "Last logs" but the icons themselves aren't showing -- there's just a blank space. I'm running Firefox 9.0.1 on a Mac. I checked with ...

Re: Improving Moveable Caches

Here's a thought ... which I am prepared to concede, in advance, may be totally stupid. It's also way too late for the Frog race, but might be useful in future for any moveables. On the maps page, when you click on one of the location marker icons that indicate the location of a cache you get a litt...

Re: Improving Moveable Caches

Quick question, a bit off the current topic but still moveable related; Is there a clever way to deal with the issue when several moveables are hidden at the identical spot? On the map, one is on top and you (well, I can't) can't get past it. It's become an issue to us with the frog race. Frogs app...

Sweet. Thanks.

(Sorry for asking while you were on holidays, but I have to do things when I think of them.)

Re: Report GCA Site issues here

I was just looking at my stats pages on GCA (where the data reflect a leaner couple of years in recent times :( ), when I noticed an anomaly. The "Finds" page (under the Stats tab) has a section for "Finds by year", and lists all years since joining, with the number of finds per year, and an average...

Re: Caching injuries

Are spiders seasonal? Not quite on topic, but while on the subject of spiders and other things held in fear and trepidation, it was fun caching in NZ recently, safe in the knowledge that there are no snakes, and only one of the spiders is poisonous (and an obscure one at that). Mind you, the sandfl...
