Re: Android Geocaching Apps
I have been using c:geo and loved it, but never did work with waymarking or GCA caches. I contacted the developers about extending the functionality. I was basically ridiculed for wanting to do waymarking or CGA caches. This week I have been trying Locus, and while not as polished as c:geo, it work...

Re: Being reamed for data charges when overseas
Agree with the above, the only downside with NZ Telecom (which has the best coverage) is that not all phones work with them. I think you need a quad-band phone because of the frequency of their network. From memory iPhone is good, but most (all?) HTC phones are out. Are you sure that's correct? I've...

Re: Munzees!
Really? Ive had my London Munzopoly series out for 9 months now hidden in the city centre and only 4 go missing. 2 were construction work which removed GZ, and 2 were the double tape failing. My 50 ZEAMMAFF Munzees I have only lost one since January, and it was in the most Muggly area of the park :...

Re: Munzees!
What's not to get? It is caching for barcodes ;) Some big changes have happened as Munzee approaches it's first anniversary. The feature list has been growing rapidly the last few months and I think by the time July and the 1st Birthday roll around there will be almost nothing left on my original w...

Re: new GCA android app
Another feature suggestion:
I went for some trigs this morning and realised you can't upload photos from the app. This would save me some time and would be a nice feature

Contrary to the belief of these posts, I'm working great on a HTC Sensation with Crazy Johns (Vodafone).
Good lock in the city especially for munzeeing.

Re: new GCA android app
I've had an idea... well not really, just discovered something... c:geo has (and has had for some time I think) a function called "go4cache". What it does is send your location and the cache you are going for to a server somewhere (only while you are caching of course) It also get others nearby you...

Re: Hiding Caches with a Smartphone..
If you hide it with an iphone on the groundspeak site, and it is an iphone with a real gps like an iphone4, make sure you say that. If you hide one with a iphone3, the reviewer will knock it back as it wasn't hidden with a phone that has a real gps. I know this from early experience in hiding and I...
