Re: DNFs Logged vs. Actual DNFs
I'm all for logging DNF's, but hate it when people log "Did not search" (muggles etc) as a DNF, when it is better suited to a note!

Re: Android Geocaching Apps
I've rooted my Asus, mostly to remove the optus apps, as I'm not an Optus customer. I'm using an app called "AdFree Android" that removes the ads from free apps, which probably makes it worthwhile. If you've not got it natively, Swype is pretty awesome, making text entry really easy - I estimate 10x...

Re: Garmin Asus A50 - Software
Have rooted my 2.1 nuviphone, removed the optusbloat, and installed adfree android.
I am also having garmin crashes, so going to use the Parrots method of adding caches rather than direct from GSAK.

Re: Scouts Geocaching Event
Frenzy was a hoot - last one was 2006 I think. I really should run another before I leave the state - it was a lot of fun, and didn't take all that much organisation.
I'll think on it - there's no reason Cubs couldn't be involved if their team included a leader.

Wilbur the ZuluTroop Scout has been having a ball - loving the pics people are posting. He's been on confidence courses, met other scout gnomes and is currently hanging out on a Scout jetty in Fremantle.
Check out his gallery!

Re: Scouts Geocaching Event
Having run similar events in South Australia ("Frenzy"), you'll have a blast!
We ran a spreadsheet with teams/caches, and had the venturers SMSing in when they found caches, allowing us to always know where they all were. This one was city based. The original frenzy was run around woodhouse.

I just whacked my SD card in from my Nokia and it worked. Nabarlek clearly had problems though.
