Re: Oregon 450t - first outing
You need v4.0 of the software, then you get "enter next stage" as an option while you're seeking a cache. See my post here

Hi Phillip. What is a Prickstock? I can see one in several of the photos, and it is labelled in one of them.

Re: Garmin Oregon 200 Troubleshooting
I get the odd freeze on startup. Usually after loading a new gpx. Remove the batteries for a few seconds and then replace and restart.

Re: Potential NZ MEGA Event 2012 - is there sufficient interest?
A lot of kiwis seemed to come over here for mega wagga. It might pay to ask them what their thoughts on accomodation/rental etc are. Probably wouldn't take much to hire/(buy?) a tent and rent a car for a week or so. All depends on the available facilities I suppose.

Re: Newbie thread: Which Garmin handheld GPS to buy?
I was chatting to 3up the other day saying "I would be very upset if anything happened to my Colorado" only to find when I returned to the car that the backlight for the screen had stopped working. Very sad! This feeling can be quickly remedied by a trip to Johny Appleseed. I now have an Oregon 450t...

Re: Batteries
We recently went the Eneloop way, and they work really well especially after sitting in the caching bag for a couple of weeks. One thing we did find is that the Eneloop charger has breathed new life into some of our old NiMH (energizer, Dick Smith, varta) batteries. Watch out for the old varta-charg...

Re: GSAK Badly formed UTF-8 character in stream

The oregon was simillar, but would hang for 20...
