Has anyone been able to download this new version? ? It's coming down the link at a rate which is going to take the best part of a day to get all 9Gb, from either link. The first couple of Gb s seem to turn up fairly quickly, then it just slows to a bit dribble. No dramas earlier in the week

I got it too. Probably because of the cache "Nude up for a Smiley". OOPS, there goes the forums too! Sorry

Or maybe C@W or some other admin is having an April Fool's Joke with us?

Some of my extended family are strong possibles, as they are getting keen about the whole caching thing (must be rubbing off). That is 4a and 2k. Weak possibles another 2a and 1k. Some more arms to twist, as we usually get together to camp somewhere at easter.

Downloading GCA Caches

I update my GSAK database weekly with a Zip file of all NSW GCA caches, recently the zip file link doesn't work. No major dramas, I just download as GPX file instead, just thought I'd let you know.

Some 'in car' GPSr manuals (and displayed on the units themselves) state that they are not to be used while the car is in motion. It says operated on ours, and I read that to mean that you don't fiddle with settings, try to program it etc. while on the move. Like josojara, My GPSr sits in the corne...

Haven't had a problem with 1 or 3, but definitely still a problem with number 2. And Garmin won't supply a kit to fix it yourself, you have to return the unit to them and then if it is out of warranty, pay for it too! Had mine done 12 months ago, and the rubber is starting to shift again, may just s...

At least 1 adult, likely 2 + 2, possibly another 2 + 1 if I can twist a few arms. Self sufficient caravan/camper + tent.

I'm going to have to nominate Spindoc Bob, and Webguy for NSW.

I also think it is time for Geocaching Australia Inc. May be we're being pushed towards it, but it may not be such a bad thing.

Just some points, if I may play devils advocate, and to clear some things up from the OP. 1. The company that wishes to sponsor GCA wants to convince the public, via marketing that they as a company and/or their product, will take the consumer to "wild places and places not previously visited". 2. T...
