How "Cars". There's lots of them available in the toy shops. And they are supposed to move.

Re: Cache listings and HTML
I think that when you said the description editor is in "Word" format you mean it's a WYSIWYG editor, that is, "What You See Is What You Get". I don't think that GC's editor is based any any MS Office product. While creating your new listing there's an option to toggle between the plain, or simple, ...

Re: Caching in India
I'm writing this post whilst sitting looking at the fort in Jaisalmer in Rajasthan. I was hoping to pick up a few caches while I was over here, but they are pretty thin on the ground. And there's not much opportunity to hunt for something like a cache discreetly. Probably depends where you go and ho...

You can have multiple members in a team. It's quite common in families.Nedlam Tribe wrote:I have signed up on here, & on the C:GEO app, can u have multiple members as in Team?
Good luck. And don't be afraid to come back and ask.

Re: Boss Park
I've notifed Google about a number of map errors in my area and have had the maps undated accordingly. =D> I've also told them about errors based on my dated knowledge of an area I used to live, only to find later that there had in fact been a great big highway built since I been there last, and I w...

Re: Caching genealogy
If I follow the current owners of caches, mine looks like this:
Reggie81
2Dudez
The Englands
RoundCircle.
Hey, that means I'm my own ancestor. I must have been caching in another life. And I'm still not any good at it.

Re: an 'invisible' garmin....
Sadly I don't know, but I'd suggest checking how the GPS is setup to handle the serial / USB port. The Oregon series has various settings that can be selected. No idea why it would just stop though.

Re: Newbie - etiquette question
Travel Bugs are great fun. But you should be aware that they have varied lives. Some go round the world multiple times, and last for years and years. Others get put out and disappear from the first cache, never to be seen again. So don't attach anything of any sort of value to one and then leave it ...

Re: GPS on a budget
Etrex: http://www.ja-gps.com.au/Garmin/etrex-10/ They are what many the cachers of a few years back would have started with, before the smart phone. This new model also picks up the GLONASS satellites, which means you have two GPS systems to reference your location. (Something for you to show off at...

Re: Geo Art?
Well, I looked at one randomly and it said to claim it you have to have found 25 caches with the word "Welcome" in the cache. Do I have time to go and check my past logs for that? Maybe the pattern would have looked better if I had zoomed out more than a few steps, otherwise wankers. Make a pretty ...

You should read this thread: http://forum.geocaching.com.au/viewtopi ... 10&t=17666
I've used OpenStreetMaps in Hong Kong, Seoul and Shanghai and found them to be quite comprehensive. (Not that I was ever there for all that long.)

Re: Oregon 550
My Oregon 450 o ccasionally regulary has issues after loading GPX files. I load the GPX files from a Linux machine, and have always blamed this process, but it still shouldn't do it. I find I have to delete the offending file. Power the unit off and on. Then load the file again. Making sure I "eject...

Re: Dumb Question - Can You "Transfer Ownership" of your Caches?
Sorry to hear your moving on. It'd be a pitty to lose "The Miners Right". I'd think that there'd be someone around who'd pick it up, and if there are no takers then I'll volunteer. (Along with the other three.) Most of the local Ballarat chatter seems to be on facebook. I can send you a link or ment...
