Re: Concerns re 2012 Oz Mega.

I probably won't attend at this stage - but I still could be turned around. The majority of people posting here are saying that they aren't planning to attend - there is quite a correlation between their concerns, particularly about moving camp, and their lack of intention to attend. And as I said u...

Re: Concerns re 2012 Oz Mega.

Before penning another reply this evening, I would like to ask: How is the convoy to Tumbarumba going to be controlled? Having caravans, campervans and hordes of cars parked on the side of the road collecting caches on the way seems to be an accident waiting to happen. This is personally my main con...

Homedg - you're coming close to trolling now. I won't moderate my own thread, but please, keep it civil and refrain from personal attacks.

I will write another lengthy reply this evening. Mr Coffee - you're not being ignored.

Re: Concerns re 2012 Oz Mega.

Replying to HomeDG: I didn't say anything about perfect. The last mega was nothing short of wonderful. If I wasn't in the middle of picking up my life and moving it to another state, I WOULD be putting my hand up to be involved in organising something - and I likely will in the future. I am the acti...

Re: Concerns re 2012 Oz Mega.

If we can begin to enter into a discussion at this early stage, maybe some of the anticipated problems can be dealt with at an early stage. This is not an attempt to sling mud, nor to be a negative Nelly. It has almost been implied that this Mega Event plan is the same group of cachers who ran Wagga...

I think you should continue with your plans. NZ Mega is something to get excited about!

Concerns re 2012 Oz Mega.

Quoting myself from the "Launch" thread. I'm sorry, but I would like to be a voice of dissent. I doubt I will make the effort to attend this one. For the expense of attending, I, and many others, cannot see the value in a bag drag across essentially the same area as last time. I'm not convinced by t...

It must be made clear that this is not being organised by the same committee as the previous one. I will start a new thread.

Re: Garmin Oregon 200 Troubleshooting

I think the load of the GPX gets corrupted by the GPS when it crashes, rather than the original GPX being corrupt.

Newcastle being within 100km wipes that one out, and I mentioned Port Stephens early on. :(
