Re: How far would YOU travel for a FTF?
You people show some great dedication! I haven't got a FTF yet and might need to set up some decent notification system to change that.

Re: 917 Finds... In 24 hours. What the?!
I always thought logging finds was done when you or someone you're with find a container and sign the log, but perhaps I've been wrong all along! Given I work full time and am never going to have massive numbers, I'm not bothered how many others get, but it must be annoying for those who are among t...

I just don't get the point of super hardcore caching like that. I also don't get the idea of logging finds you weren't actually present at. It just seems like a strange idea.

Re: Tell us about your motorbike caching !
Crikey you people have some good set ups! Hmmm it's something to aspire to once I've got the money to buy a proper bike etc. I did a lot of caches on mountain bike around inner Melbourne when I was living there, but now I find the scooter handy in those areas.

Re: Tell us about your motorbike caching !
I've got a scooter I use for caching. You have to know where you're going beforehand, because you can't use a GPSr as you go, but otherwise it's fine. Parking's easier than with a car. Using a computer would be a pain, but if you have a hand-held device that you can view cache pages on then you'll b...

The oldest cache in Tassie is "North Tassie" in Launceston - GC388. It's the oldest cache I've found.

Excellent. I've not got a device capable of displaying maps yet, but hopefully I will next time I go to Indonesia. Thanks for the link.

Re: Good Swaps vs Bad Swaps
When it's a small container so stuffed with crap that you can't close the lid in under 5 minutes, then every swap's a bad one, unless you're leaving something smaller. I don't tend to swap anything other than TBs. Don't really see the point to be honest.

Re: Nearmap rival to Google Earth?
That looks very useful. I think I might start using it for work as well. Google Earth images are frequently over 3 years old. It sill thinks that most of the land in Docklands is undeveloped. Thanks.
