I just used the browser using the supplied link in the first post to display the header as all the first part is just ascii. I have copied some of the lines below. It has AGD66 like the others I looked at. BTW the 'lambert conformal conic' is a projection that is supposed to be for equal earth displ...

Further to my previous post. I have looked at the help file for Ozi and they mention Datum Shift for KAP files but as it a registered user funtion I can't experiment with the trial copy I downloaded. The seaust.kap file definately has AGD66 in the header information even though I can't display the f...

I don't have the software that you both are using but your screenshot is missleading you into believing that it is not a datum shift. However I think your problem is just the datum used by the producers of the maps you are using. One of the 'kap' ?? files in the source directory mentions AGD66 and t...

My understanding of this was that there was an agreement sometime in the past on what a metre (meter) was and there was/is a physical measurement somewhere for people to compare things to. All of the other measurements were then derived from this. So a 'cm' is the original 1 metre divided into 100 u...

I use a NAVMAN bluetooth GPS with my IPAQ 2210. You will have to decide if the convenience of having a 2nd device to carry, (although using the arm band supplied is quite effective), is worth the extra battery life of the IPAQ. I can't say with any other models as I haven't come accross anyone with ...

Having never owned a portable GPS I didn't understand the references to AUS66 and AUS84 as they didn't appear to be datums. They obviously, to me now, refer to the AGD66 and AGD84 datums on the GPS and some of the sofware I have looked at over the last few days. The GIS software (MapInfo) that I use...

There is another explanation here that is more specific to Australia and explains the shift to GDA94 (Not GDA84). The reference to AUS84, if it was not a typo, is probably to the datum AGD84 which superseeded AGD66 in some but not all Australian states before all the states adopted GDA94 some years ...

Missing log for find at GCNGAT - Collie River [closed]
I hadn't noticed before now that GCA and GC both have the same number of finds for me. I have done a GCA only one so GCA number of finds should have been one more than GC. I compared the two lists from each site and found that GCA does not have the find for me at Collie River Crossover. Only the sub...

This thread makes interesting reading and I wasn't going to comment until I read the following. The find should stand.

You did actually find a cache at a location which you had not been to. Very definitive statement however I would consider a 'find' to be one when I didn't know the actual lo...

The other thing that you can try is to get the full address from work and just type that in at home. It should bypass any caching problems.
If it is the standard mapfiles it could be the following
