I had an idea for a 4-D cache - which is probably just a fancy event cache when I think about it! What makes it significant is that it would require you to be at the right place in space and time for something that was out of the host's control. Some retailers like Dick Smith Electronics have a two week returns policy so you could buy a basic GPS like a Magellan 100 *shudder* to see how it goes.... I'm still using the 100! I've worn off the paint from manually entering coordinates! I plan to upgrade soon - but the 100 has served me well.
