I am still looking with interest at the 800W (I like the small size) - Hardly normal has them for abot $850 at the moment.

Also awaiting with anticipation at the release of the latest eten which comes out in a couple of weeks.

The problem is my O2 mini won't break....

Hi Red Devils

Yes, log your visit with the actual date you found the cache - as far as I am aware, your log will be slotted into the correct place - ie in date order.

Stickers received - thanks very much. You have got me thinking about doing something similar with pens (or pencils). I should start another thread, but it is sort of related. I had a batch of pens printed with my caching logo and details on them as signature items do drop into caches when I had a bi...

For what it is worth, geocaching is not the only activity frowned on by do-gooders. I was at an orienteering event in bushland near the aforementioned cache some time ago. While the event was on, there were also some volunteer bush care group or koala spotters in the same area. They were most indign...

Yes, buy a length of PVC pipe (3m I think is the shortest) - either 90mm or 100mm would be better. (Or visit a building site at night ) One end cap, one inspection opening (with screw cap fitting) and some solvent (small pot of blue stuff). Cut the pipe to your desired length, use the solvent ...

LOL :D See what you have done weewillie :!: To answer your original question, I have both a Garmin and a Magellan and am happy with both. My Garmin (GPS12) is about 8 years old and held together with a rubber band, but still function perfectly. My Magellan is a bit newer (Explorist XL) and has many ...

MICROSOFTISM : You need a machine to milk your two cows, but have to buy a barn twice the size of your existing one to house the machine.

Following raindancer's links above, I did a bit more research and discovered Eten PDA's. They are just about to release their latest model the X800 :- http://www.etencorp.com/presscenter/press.php?pid=123&tid=0 http://www.etencorp.com/PressCenter/press.php?pid=130&tid=2 This looks like a fantastic u...

I have destinator software running successfully on my O2 mini via a blue tooth GPS. I like the idea of the GPS being built into the device - one less thing to loose - likewise with the FM radio - I carry a separate radio/MP3 player while commuting on the bus - if I can roll them all into one, I will...

Thanks for the info Raindancer.
I had a look at the specs for the 810 and notice it has 3.5G which the 800W doesn't but the 810 doesn't have an FM radio and the 800W does - aaggh.

I am Interested to know what was involved in activating the GPS in your 810.
