Re: Report GCA Site issues here
There would be a couple of archives that haven't filtered through yet, but that was the reason why I left it a week or so before raising it, as I know that if it's more than 10 days between updates, then GCA treats it as archived. The numbers are only 1 or 2 caches different for a couple of the rang...

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
I'm not sure if there is an issue with the SA ranges or not, but I've double checked my end, and it seems to be right, so not sure if I'm just missing something or not. At the moment to me I'm seeing that the range for SA's 9th set of 500 caches goes up until the 9th May, but GCA says the 19th. I've...

Re: Railway tunnel (or other tunnel) caches
Since we are building up a reasonable list, would it be good to add tags to all the caches that are being listed, and then the complete list can just be dragged up by looking at the tag?
Just a thought, and an opportunity to make use of GCA's features

God, I wish they would keep their bloody schema up to friggen' date.
Allows an event organiser to post a note/announcement to the event page, but the notification gets sent to anyone who has logged a will attend, whether they are on the watch list or not.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
When trying to figure out an issue with the PQ date ranges for SA, I imported a PQ and noticed that when it hit an Announcement log, it treated it as an unknown type.
Since it's only been implemented recently on GC, I guess that it may not have been added here yet!

Re: Update for GC Iphone App
My biggest bugbear which it looks like they haven't addressed is when logging directly and uploading the log to groundspeak, the date is wrong! There is no ability to change the date when logging through the app so it automatically dates it as Groundspeak time which is generally yesterday. My work ...

Update for GC Iphone App
Just noticed that there has been an update for the GC.com app for the Iphone. The new version is 4. It's has had a massive over haul, and looks like they have just about started from scratch with this version. List of changes from the site: -Google Maps integration -Ability to take photos and submit...

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Just an observation. When GCA caches are being archived by "reviewers" (in this case Snuva), the cache shows up on GCA as being archived by Geocaching Australia, but when the notification comes through on the twitter feed that the cache has been archived, it shows that Snuva has archived the cache, ...

Re: Whos got a caching pen ?
Since the last thread on pen's we've always kept 3-4 power tanks in the car and they are religiously used for caching, and note taking whilst we are out. They are great pens, and never had an issue not being able to write on something, apart from when the ink ran out on the first one. The saw dust s...

We had a "Paint it Black" event here in Adelaide, maybe you need to have a "Cover it in Camo" event over there.

What's worse is that all of the caches available for sale on that site, are small or nano's.Freddo wrote:More spawn of satan.

Re: Professional geocachers?
If you look at his stats though, he only has found 5 5/5 caches, and once you get above 2/2 the number of finds drops dramatically, so to me, there isn't as much fun there as most of the finds would be drive by's, and the like. Sure 17000 is impressive, but how many memorable finds would you have wi...
