Maybe that headline should read
"Sat-nav devices face big errors as Clem 7 activity rises"
One for the Queenslanders

Re: Sat-nav devices face big errors as solar activity rises
HOORAY !! \:D/ Finding geocaches the new fangled way has become a bit monotonous  Break out the sextants people, you're going to need them, if the twits (media journalists looking for a story, any story) believe that Uncle Sam didn't take the appropriate precautions when designing their satel...

Re: 'Theft' of trackables - it's getting ridiculous.
So many missing geocoins or trackables have been blamed on so called professional collectors, but I think that is probably not the cache  Apart from the inevitable mugglings of caches containing trackables I think that an awful lot of missing trackables, especially geocoins, can be put down t...

I'm definitely a morning cacher
Sometimes an afternoon cacher

Re: Cacher dies in USA
Sad indeed
But better to be the only statistic who died geocaching than one of the over 40,000 Americans who died on the roads this year
I wonder how many of them were driving to/from a cache
We will never know
just a thought ....

GC2DPBP Traditional, Regular. Dead Pommie Back-Packer 1.5/1.5 This cache has been hidden at the final resting place of adventurer and newbie geocacher Jamie Neale. Re: New Vic GPS laws
I don't see the problem with in car GPS's or smart phone GPS's or any type of in car navigation system being used while the vehicle is in motion
Any device that gets the driver looking beyond the front of the bonnet (albeit virtually) has to be contributing to safety in a positive way

Woo Hoo !! \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ Someone else has brought up a topic that annoys me, but I was too scaredy cat to address 8-[ The whole idea of finding a cache is to make swaps (optional) and sign the logbook :D Leaving a card is just plain olde gen Y laziness [-( And yes they do fall out of caches and lit...

Re: Where do you see geocaching in the next 10 years?
Geocaching will still be going strong :D But not in its present form. It will fragment and head underground to avoid detection by the innumerable " too scared of our public liability " councils and land managers who don't want anyone near their jurisdiction in case they hurt themselves or scare some...
