Re: OZ MEGA CANBERRA

While we are really happy to hear that all of the Mega plans are coming together we have to admit to being a little disappointed for ourselves. We had planned to be able to attend both events if they where to be held in the same year, that is we would have come across from WA and toured around betwe...

Re: How many do I need to find to use a generic log

I am with Zalgariath and McPhan - I normally like to write readable logs, epics as Ian calls them. I always appreciate a decent log on my caches especallyt the ones that have been very tricky to place. The exception for me is when we find a cache that appears to have been chucked nowhere in particul...

Re: Caching genealogy

Well that was fun but I do wish I had been able to delve deeper, maybe someone here can help. Our introduction to geocaching was through ABC radio Karratha - they were talking about the freeing up of satellites and the start of geocaching in the USA, that was back in 2001. At the time I looked up GC...

Re: Ideas for Activities at a Winter Event

Meanwhile.... trying to be serious here. I will drop you an email tomorrow and tell you about a couple of games we have seen. First though a couple of questions - 1. Are you after something that can run over the two days? 2. How well do you know Busselton as I am thinking that will be relevant to se...

Re: Ideas for Activities at a Winter Event

How about a "Beat Chillyrear to the FTF" item? We chain John to some immovable object (and it'll need to be DAMN solid), then get a new cache published a hundred metres away. He watches while 200 teams get a joint FTF... AHEAD OF HIM! That's it! We are definitely attending! Got to see thi...

Re: Newbie but at the same time not

I guess it depends on whether you can remember your old password too. Our son started geocaching back in 2003 and had his own account, he too hasn't done much for a few years now. Recently he wanted to start again but couldn't remember his password and as he no longer has the email address he was un...

Re: How did everyone go in the floods/fires?

I received an email rom the Fuddleys with their new contact address as they were moving back to New Zealand mid January 2013. their house was on the southern side of Bundy so hopefully it would have been OK. I lost a few of my caches in Bundy so back up there on Wednesday to replace them. A lot of ...

Ah... thanks for letting us know. :-)

Yippee... and dog friendly - we definitely we be coming across for this one. We would have love to have come for the last/first event but couldn't find a dog friendly caravan park to stop at so had to miss out. Now to mark the calendar and count down the days! =D>

Re: Showing Geocaches on Magellan 610 map

Thanks for the thumbs up on they should be there. Now at least we know we should be seeing them and after a bit of reading hopefully we will get everything displaying. Second question - whilst Ian sits fiddling with our settings. When the maps are showing on above 150 metre scale all of the roads dr...

Showing Geocaches on Magellan 610 map

Hi all Ian bought me a magellan 610 for my birthday and finally I am heading to an area where I can load up heaps of geocaches =D> For the past 6 months I have only needed to manually enter as there have only been the odd one or two around. Now that we have loaded the caches (via GSAK & pocket query...

Re: Deleting Image from Image Gallery

Evening all There is a new geocacher in our area and after finding our Sneaky and Deceptive caches he has taken it upon himself to post photos of where he found the cache. I have asked him to remove the photos and explained that is why they have a 4 rating for difficulty. I can't seem to find a way...
