I saw this on my 78 as well. It seems that POI load to a part of the unit memory that cannot be accessed from the USB connection. The special Garmin place. The only way I found to get rid of them was to keep loading POIs until you filled that part of the memory. Let me know if you find a better way ...

At the end of 2011 I had cleared everything out to 20km. 2280 found caches in the zone. 195 placed caches in the zone.

Get rid of the bag. It is not really necessary. If a cache gets wet it might protect the logbook if it is intact. If the logbook gets wet in the bag then it will never dry out. Never ever. Remove the bag.

They keep bread fresh. Look for them in packets of wraps. O2 is the enemy of fresh bread. Useless for caching as H2O is our enemy. Silica gel keeps moisture a bay for a while, but eventually you have to refresh the silica gel by heating it to 60C for 2 hours. I do that in the lab for some experiment...
