Thanks for the input all. :) I know that it's horses for courses out there, but I still say its a shame to have too much data handed to you on a plate. Just having an arrow pointing the way is a whole lot more challenging and more fun. For the record I do have a Garmin 60C but don't use it for actua...

Keep It Simple Stupid.

I have noticed lately there are many threads going for people wanting to do all sorts of amazing things to their GPSrs to make them more functionial, pretty, and more custom fitting. I'm kinding of wondering why you would need to have custom symbols or fancy map points etc or thousands of pois progr...

Is the price of Petrol/Diesel, Killing your caching.

The price of petrol at our local servo is now $1.37 a litre. Diesel is not much better. We love to get out and cache all over NSW but lately, we just cant' afford to go to all the places we want, and we tend to cache much closer to home these days. How about you, are you finding the high price...

I have hidden a LOT of caches. If you check back in the history of the game in NSW you'll see that we ( The 2 Dogs) have always led the field in this area. It's never been about the numbers however, for us it's only ever about furthering the game. Every time we place a 2 Dogs cache, a lot of effort ...

Geocaching.com very slow these days

Has anyone noticed that the GC.com has been getting slower and slower. In the last few weeks I have noticed a significant speed reduction, and have many times got "Server too Busy" errors. Page loading is taking ages. Tonight I have been trying to log 8 cache finds but have not had any success. Afte...

Didn't the guy go missing somewhere between the Golden Stairs and Mt Solitary?

"Stairway to Heaven" cache is near the Golden Staircase, but there is no rock involved.

Hmmm Will watch this space.

As far back as I can remember, Geocaching has always been referred to as a sport.

It's physical, it's hunting, it's competitive. Seems right to me.
