Re: Report GCA Site issues here
I'm a bit addicted to using the map: http://geocaching.com.au/cache/ga4237.gmap and looking at the pretty green balloons and planning my next venture out.
All my green balloons are gone!

Wow you guys have way more info than we do but then we have a Troop leader meeting this weekend so I'm hoping something will filter through to the rest of us after that.

Re: bulk downloading to my GPS
I've been having a play and I think the only fault I can find with it is I can't seem to make it show me on the map all the caches I have in the GPS or on the list in GSAK. Unfortunately I have a touch of paranoia in my makeup and I want to be certain all the caches in the area I want to search are ...

bulk downloading to my GPS
Is there any way to download a whole page of caches to my GPS or do I have to do them one at a time? I tried ticking the boxes and hitting download (on the .com site) but that must go to my computer or something because they weren't on the unit. Putting 500 or so into the GPS is going to take ages i...

Re: Newbie thread: Which Magellan handheld GPS to buy?
So I've had a look through this thread and I've just been to Rays and have been drooling all over their GPS display... I've had a look through this thread and a lot of the posts are years old so the models are different to what they were, I was eyeing off the Magellan explorist GC which seemed to ti...

Re: How accurate is the main map?
Ok so basically as long as I use the map on the GCA site I don't have to go through the lists. Excellent! That makes it all much easier

Re: How accurate is the main map?
Next related question. Are all the Caches on the map? wondering if I need to do searches on both sites to find them all or is just using that map enough?

When you get invited to visit the inlaws and you immediately bring up the map so you can make a list of caches to find while you're in the area and along the way....

Re: Where are we all from??? (introduce yourself) parts 1&2
Did an intro in the Tassie area but figured I should stick my head around the corner here too, I'm in Launceston and after only a couple of days I'm a bit hooked I think lol

Re: How accurate is the main map?
I noticed that caughtatwork, given the map was on the wrong side of the gorge to the actual GPS coords. Am a bit sad about that actually, the zigzag side is a much harder walk lol

How accurate is the main map?
So I'm asking a question I probably already know the answer to but I've been browsing around here http://geocaching.com.au/cache/ga4237.gmap and I'm wondering how accurate it actually is and is that deliberate? As an example I started out looking for Mirror Mirror which is in the Launceston Gorge an...
