Re: My weekly Moveables Query

For Geocube with the OpenCage geocoder I use this as the order to determine the locale: self.locale_order = @[ @"village", @"hamlet", @"locality", @"suburb", @"city_district", @"town", @"city", @"county", @"state_district", @"province", @"state", @"region", @"island" ]; And this to determine the ord...

The ABC virtual series

How do you know you are back home? Every city has its own story... Wen flying into Sydney it's because you see the harbour. For Canberrans it is when they see the Telstra tower on Black Mountain. When I come back from the south it is because of the fog on the road near Darkest Forest. But everybody ...

Is there somebody from Bega here?

Is there somebody from Bega here?

I need some local knowledge as the Google Maps Car has not driven through a part of that town.

Re: Google Maps Issue

Every Geocaching Australia geocache has an altitude determined based on the information available at the time it was calculated. We have an admin link that will force a refresh of the elevation data but this is not available to the community en masse. This minimises calls to the API's. Too many, to...

Re: Google Maps Issue

> The OSM interface is a little slower and there may be a few more seconds of delay when submitting a geocache page so the new API can work out how high your geocache is. Could we please get an identifier on the cache page if the altitude has not been determined yet, and an option to force a recalcu...

Re: Report Site Issues Here

From a different discussion, this is most likely related to a wrong time on the device checking the SSL certificate.

Re: Google Maps Issue

I looked in to the Non-Profit eligibility. We'd have a hard time justifying an application given it is skewed highly towards humanitarian and social change websites. If you don't want to be a registered NFP association, you will never meet the free-for-NFP requirements of any third party services. ...

Re: Report Site Issues Here

This is the first time I've heard from Wongawilli :-) When searching for "Clifton", the suburb next to Coalcliff I got the caches I was looking for, mostly because they are in Clifton but until now I didn't know that, I would have called that area Coalclif. What I expected were the caches sorted by ...

Re: Report Site Issues Here

On the front page, when searching for the "coalcliff" locality I get all the results centered around my home location.

Same for searching for "Stanwell Park", but not for "Helensburgh" which shows the ones around Helensburgh.

Temporary overseas reporters should not rock the boat as they are not aware of the why the ship still floats and they are not going to feel responsible for the sinking of it.

Could I please get an account for wiki.geocaching.com.au? I want to update some things on the Geocube page.
