Re: Cerberus Clan Chat

Hurray - I'm not alone any more. Welcome to Cerebus KRS. Having said that, I'm trying not to let DragonZone affect the way I cache too much so don't expect any "Black Ops" type action from me. I do have a plan for pesky movables controlled by other clans (if you're  and you're reading this ...

Re: dragonZone

It was definitely more than a 2/2 today! But now that rating is accurate to generous as the plate is uncovered again... but dont you dare go grab it and assign it more points than I did ;) I haven't allocated any points yet. I figure at this point in the game it would be entering into the DragonZon...

Re: dragonZone

Actually I spent 20 minutes and nearly DNF'd a trig this morning! Some of the PM marker trigs are tough to find (this one was under 3 years of leaf litter!) Interestingly, I had a scratch around for French trig last Thursday. Found the tree with the yellow mark and moved some leaf litter around. I ...

Hey, that's not fair. I have a shower at least once a month and sometimes more often.

Re: Cerberus Clan Chat

I'm based on Sydney's Northern Beaches. At the moment I spend a day a week walking in the Blue Mountains - I'm in training for a fundraising endurance walk with a side benefit being some geocaching in an area with plenty of caches and trigs.

Found the trig before it was published

So there are no rules on GCA - anarchy rules! :D However, there is such a thing as good etiquette and what feels "right", hence my question. I found a trig last weekend and, next to it, the remnants of the old trig. A couple of days later the old trig is published (Castle Cliff Old, TP6894). Is it "...

Re: TB hotels: Sydney/Adelaide/Melbourne

I visited Melbourne last November. As a tourist I remember Welcome to Melbourne to be a good TB drop-off/pick-up place. I live in Sydney but can't help you with one here as I don't get to cache in the city much. If you come over to Manly (nice 20 minute ferry trip from the city) there is a good big ...

Re: Turn by Turn Navigation for caching

It's easy. You can specify what bookmarks you want shown in each cache listing as default. Bring up the cache listing, scroll down, click "Directions in Maps", and off you go.

Re: Turn by Turn Navigation for caching

Geosphere allows you to get turn by turn directions, either in the IOS maps or in Google Maps, by using Bookmarks. I haven't used this feature myself but a quick test shows it seems to work.

Try looking or posting here: http://www.magellaninsiders.com/viewforum.php?f=18

I feel your pain but it's a nice little device for the money (mine is a backup now).

Thanks to C@W for organizing the race. =D> My first race and lots of fun - even if my angel got abducted from under a bridge in Parramatta. 8-[ And thanks for the pathtag - greatly appreciated.

Re: Emergency+ app

Thanks for the heads up, sushilord. The app is now on my phone.

A sort of related question. What does it mean when my iphone says "SOS only" when I am out of normal phone range? I like to think it means I can send an SOS somehow, but I have no idea how.

Re: Are iPhones bad news for GCA?

The thing is, I'm using an Android phone. The question is, how do you fare if you've got an iPhone? Does GeoSphere treat all caches alike? Geosphere treats them the same in most ways. There are some differences when it comes to posting field notes and it treats movables as mystery/puzzle caches. Ge...

Re: Let's Talk Angels!

Hi Briggbottms,

Excellent. I have two angels and will be pleased to be rid of their evil angelic powers in some easily found place over the next two days. Actually, one is quite cute and prompted Mrs T to make an unusually positive comment (credit to Black Bunny).

Cheers,

Re: Let's Talk Angels!

I am visiting Cessnock/Pokolbin from 3/1/2103 to 5/1/2013. Does this fit in with anyone else's travel plans?
