Survey Data Information Source sought

I'm looking for polygon files for WA Shires and also the 9 WA Regions for a Gsak macro much the same as the 'County' macro. A quick check suggests that this data is probably available over here, but only for a price  . Does anyone have any suggestion where I might look? Pointers for data from o...

I have a friend in Narrogin (Team Gypsys) who may want it Andrew. They've only just started caching. Keep it for me and I'll pick it up and get it to him.

Re: bluetooth or CF card GPS for PPC

There looks to be a few decsions from what I have read. 1. GPS unit (bluetooth extern or plug in CF card type) 2. Software .. beeline or tomtom nav, sonar?? I use a Toshiba e800 with SD and CF slots. The SD slot holds a 2Gb flash card - good for all the maps I am likely to use when away. I use the ...

At present, I use a 20 Gb 2.5 inch hard drive in a USB case to do my backups and I feel that it's the way to go. Cost was cheap ($15 for the case and $40 for the drive). 20 Gb's is probably a bit on the small side, though it depends on what you feel you need - at present I have around 15 Gb's of map...

Offline statistics program

While reading the NZ forums I noticed this link for offline stats. After following and downloading it I found it quick and quite interesting. It does need a gpx file of your finds, but that is easy enough to get hold of (for GC subscribers ...

Sorry - I'd lost track of this thread since my last reply  While I have a laptop to run in the car (on the back seat) I would prefer a 'mapping device' that I can see on the dash. The Ppc fits the bill there since OziCe won't run on a Palm (unless its a Palm Ppc), and I don't know of any other...

I recently picked up a unused Toshiba e800 from Ebay for $260. With programs like Cachemate and Oziexplorer CE, it works a treat. I also bought a Sirf III compact flash GPS which just plugs in the top of the unit, a 1gb sd card for storing maps etc and a pda holder for the 'roo. The all up cost is s...
