Re: New Program - GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife)

When using the GSAK google maps polygon tool to select caches along a route , how do I get the info into GSAK. I don't understand point 4. It says copy and paste window above and save to a .gpx file. Copy and paste it where??? If you've selected 'gpx' as the output type, select all the text below t...

Re: Seven Mile Beach, Tasmania

Amex will be a problem away from the larger cities I would expect. Amex is not well accepted in Australia, so be prepared for non-acceptance and have your VISA or cash ready. That situation is slowly changing. The Commonwealth Bank, one of our biggest, now issues Amex cards with a much better award...

Re: Mega Event not listed on NSW Cache Update email

We didn't expect the listing to get Mega status until after the event (as indicated in the past by the organising committee), so we didn't cater for mega's in the daily email. I've made a fix, so mega events will appear again from tomorrow. Sorry about that. Can you list it on the emails for all st...

Re: New Program - GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife)

The latest my finds gpx is loaded with the correct amount of finds, being 402. Although the findstatsgen doesn't recognise any finds or placements made in 2010. It also does not show the 2 placements made in 2010. I've checked all the settings and cannot find any reason for this. Hoping someone cou...

I've just run FSG with no problems. FSG needs your found logs to generate its stats. Make sure your 2010 finds in GSAK have your found logs included.

Re: Seven Mile Beach, Tasmania

Sounds as if it will be busy out there in February. We're staying there again on 12th & 13th along with Team Crackers, and visiting the Market on 13th.

Re: Top service from Garmin Australia

We'd certainly agree too. Bought a Colorado 300 while holidaying in the US last year. Fifteen months and many many caches later, its USB socket gave out, so we couldn't upload/download or use external power. Sent it off to Garmin in Sydney with all our US invoice paperwork, expecting to have to pay ...

Re: in car gps for europe. Suggestions.

If you can find one at a good price (they're the top of the range), the TomTom Go 930 comes with Aus, NZ, Europe, US and Canadian maps, so you can still use it here when you get back.

Re: Time to quit

We'll be sorry to see you go, Mark. You took on the reviewer role very early in the game to bring an Australian perspective to a sometimes thankless task. Through all that time, you have achieved much more than you set out to do, and won a lot of friends and respect along the way. However, families ...

Re: *** New Site Testing - We need your help ***

While looking at new posts using the "View new posts" link, the "Mark forums read" link at top right doesn't work correctly. It returns you to the "Board index" page, but doesn't mark the forums as read - you need to click the "Mark forums read" link a second time.

Yes you can. You need a Magellan Meridian cable to do it - either the PC cable, or the PC Interface Cable with Cigarette Lighter Adapter. Both screw onto the connector on the rear of the Meridian, and have a serial connector at the PC end. Unless you have an older PC with a serial port, you will nee...
