Re: New Trig - need some advice
Arrr you sure it's a trigg?
Given it's location it could be a benchmark or control point for construction of, and subsequent monitoring of movement in, the bridge.
There's probably one on the other side too, maybe more

Re: A motto to follow when placing caches
Would you give it a favorite point and is it a cache you would want to find are somewhat similar. Not everyone likes the same caches and not everyone will favorite the same caches, not everyone will hunt for every cache. But if you place a cache you think is worthy and you would give a favorite poin...

Re: Placing GCA Caches - is it worthwhile?
ga0728 has had 7 finds in 4 years. Not bad for a tough location. Meanwhile ga0781 has still only had 10 visits in 3 years and is an easy drive by on a scenic route and ga3088 with 8 visits in 6 months is a short walk from a popular major highway rest spot that also contains a GC micro cache that ha...

Re: Who can help us with our honeymoon planning?
If you are used to driving in cities I don't think you should have any difficulty with the type of van you are proposing. I did a google search on "campervan hire adelaide" and came up with a popular hire company http://www.britz.com.au/campervan-hire-australia and got a quote for 6 weeks, and was s...

Re: Extreme Geocaching
Extreme, as in: If you don't break your arm on every second one you're not trying hard enough. Think along the lines of ropes, harness or in some cases a scuba set? Terrain? I'd say 10. By definition Terrain 5 needs equipment such as ropes, scuba, boat etc. Some people think a 4x4 requires terrain ...

Re: Android Geocaching Apps
Also just started using c:geo on a Wildfire.
Still learning and only done 2 caches.
Took a while to work out you need to use the phone's menu button to log the cache, but today I did a find nearby, read the notes, found ther cache and logged on line from the cache location.
Just lovin' it

Re: Overnight hikes with caches
Beeripmo Loop has a few caches, most are also accessable by car, although that's not a reason to not do the walk, and it is within striking distance of The Mount. Probably not as hard as implied, I did it as an overnight during daylight saving, started at 3pm, finished 3pm next day, then went hunti...

Re: Best ever Cache/Idea/Locations in Victoria
For total satisfaction The 13th Cache should be your quest.
By far the best I have done in Victoria.
And there are 12 (or more?) great caches along the way.
Enjoy.

In Bunnings yesterday, on completely unrelated business, and I noticed they have expanded their range of Gnomes.
Perhaps they have seen an increased demand for the little guys recently.

Sorry, but Fairy Penguins are pretty common on the southern coasts. We have plenty here is Sth Ozblossom* wrote:I would have thought Fairy Penguins would count as pretty unique.
Although Rottnest Island might be a good location
PS: I don't think I have ever seen a Fairy Penguin "grazing"
