BTW TNLN stands for.....Took Nothing Left Nothing. A lazy way of Geocaching that seems to have become more common in the last few years, much to the disgust of purists such as yours truly. :( For geocachers on a budget, TNLN seems preferable to the practice of moving swaps from one cache to another...

yes please.

I have just been and looked at the wiki also. It talks there about having two names, but doesn't say you can't choose a name that is already 'taken' on GC. So if this is going to be an issue then perhaps it should be mentioned there?

confusion

HI As one who has two names I am confused. We joined GC because that was the first we found. Then at the cache event we found out about GCA and here we are. Now when I joined GCA there was mention of joining as both a Team cacher (Fairly Magic) but that for discussion in the Forums you could post as...

Texas Longhorn shall be in the Hobart Travel Lounge awaiting your pickup. He's been to Qld and back, unfortunantly time didn't permit a Qld dropoff. Cheers Quilter

Thanks Riblit and CraigRat for your help. Hopefully this will save us some  in future. After logging a Penguin cache on our recent trip, then seeing it had been archived weeks before, I have been revisiting my pocketqueries and thinking I was missing something. Cheers Quilter

Note: If you source GPX files are from Groundspeak, they only provide "temporyary unavailable" status of caches in a PQ. Much to the dismay of many users, they just won't budge on providing archived caches. This explains us trying to find caches recently that we couldn't and then when I looked onli...

Hi, I just ran an import of one one log that was missing from July, Senior Diablos Cache Fiesta (our first event, so kind of important to us :D ) The log has been added to our stats, but the message I received after the import had run was 0 imported and 0 updated. It's there, so thats all that matte...

testing results

Hi everyone thanks for the help. I think we have found the successful solution for us to be OziCE with maps and way points to get us within cooee, and then GPS Tuner to point the way to GZ. And as long as we only load the local waypoints and cache info then we didn't get one freeze today, and we man...

freezing

Hi Horus the freezing required a soft reset. I did wonder whether it was a memory problem, but it wasn't giving any indication or help.......ok, I know it's windows and help is non-existent. I tried just running smartst alone after a soft reset a couple of times, and it still froze. I have used it f...

thankyou

Hi Thankyou. Have just loaded Navio, and worked out how to use OziCE. Downloaded the map converter from Ozi and yay. So tomorrow we will experiment with Navio and Ozi and hopefully we will get much better luck than we had today. Probably the stormy weather but we couldn't get accurate readings at a ...

Navman Freezing

Hi has anyone had any trouble with their Navman freezing? I've been using the gps viewer in SmartSt to do our caching with, and have Gpxsonar running at the same time, switching between the two programs. Yesterday was the first time we have been out and found more than one cache at a time, and the N...

stats banner

My stats banner gives details for my Cacher name rather than our Team Name. Obviously I have goofed on setting something up. As newbies we are rather proud of our first 5 finds :D
