Try that then.

Very close up. Name what this is. Name the significant date in its history, and what caused this thing to be in the condition it is now in.

Oh, how I wish, we could get 100000 people through the gates to the markets, thinkof the exposure for the 4wd club. Unfortunately, thats pie in the sky stuff. No, in reality, the markets would probably be lucky to get 5000 people through the gate, (small country town markets in CQ) and if I get mayb...

[Closed] threads

Apologies for this question but, I am a member of another forum using the same BB program, but my Q relates to this forum. A number of posts in the index have [Closed] after the topic. What does this mean please. Is the discussion closed? The other forum usually just locks the thread if no further d...

For those that may have slipped through, surely if any legit members can ID any of them, the info can be forwarded to mods for possible extermination.

Introducing Geocacheing to the general public.

I am after a bit of advice, being a newbie. I have the opportunity to do a bit of promoting of the sport to the general public this sunday. The 4wd club I am secretary of is putting on a display at the local markets, and seeing as this is where I learn't of cacheing, I reckon I can swing a bit of a ...

Clean Up Australia Day

I am just wondering what effect, if any, Clean Up Australia Day has on caches. Do many go "missing" after the event, or do cache notes do the trick, and they remain in place.
I would imagine, given the zeal of some collectors, that more than a few disappear each year.

Hello All Bundyrumandcoke here, from Gladstone in Queensland. I got into this game after it was mentioned at one of our 4wd club meetings. Bought a Garmin GPS60, which does me nicely, after previously owning a Magellan 4000 XL. Also run a Navman ICN320 for on road use. Have a cache count of 11 so fa...

That'll do, actually the settling pond from Queensland Alumina Limited, the red bauxite colouring left over from the refining process of bauxite to alumina. It is very close to Boyne Smelter Limited. Locally known as the Red Mud Dam, for obvious reasons.

No its not Mars, its in Oz. Red area is probably a couple of KM across, and all the clues are there to ID it.
A GR will do, as unless you know what the red is, you wont know what its actually called.

I assume here, given the fact I have come in at this stage of the discussion, and couldnt be bothered scrolling back through all the pages, and given the title of this , we are talking about appropriate modes of transport to beat the current "Most finds of the day" record. Unfortunately, I hardly th...

Ok, being new to this forum, and reletively new to Geocacheing, Can someone tell me how to upload pic to here?

I am on another forum that uses the same BB format, but in that one, when posting a reply, an 'Insert image" option appears. No such luck here.

Cheers

A couple I have used, most mentioned above. I have made a campfire "Rocket" for a scout campfire many times. Tight wire from high tree branch to ground level in middle of fireplace. Rocket is pvc tube wrapped in kero soaked rag, suspended by 2 bent paperclips, lubricated with grease, and held up in ...
