just a FYI, the SA june long weekend event have been pulling 100+ people for the past 3 years? maybe 2 years...

but still even 100 it took us many months of planning and i dont think the usual SA event crew will argue with us. BIG task

having run an event for just over 100 people i would say your crazy.

it would be a a near full time job for the main organising team for the month before the event MINIMUM.

but if you do go ahead. GOOD LUCK its a big job

ive come across a few in the city strangly usually going rusty or full of water or both.

was in the city on the weekend and stuck my head in at JB hifi.. the asus eee 1000's are in with a 80gb hdd and windows on them.

They are a fair bit bigger than the original EEE, in fact i prefer the smaller 701,901's

if your really into the FTF thing (we have played the game) then FTF is what your after. first to sign logbook wins :) if you dont have a pen, a stick and dirt or your own blood will suffice. There was a bit of a FTF thing going on here for a while which was resolved by increasingly ridiculas micros...

was reading in a pc mag the other day that it will be at the entry price for normal notebooks and they where bagging it for this.

They missed two critical things which is why a cacher would want one

1. its crazily ultra compact and weighs nothing

2. its solid state and boots in 10-15 seconds
