Re: Clan Minotaur

Still don't think I've wrapped my head around the whole game yet but I figure it's as simple as going out and snapping up all the blue ones and I can't go wrong. 8)

Re: Clan Minotaur

Launceston Tasmania. Haven't been out much since the game started, don't really like Caching on my own and my husband has a new 'project', so I'm waiting for the 'shine' to wear off so he'll come out with me again. School holidays are about to start though, my son needs driving hours  and I...

Re: Lone Cachers

I'm another in this category, sometimes I can talk my husband or bribe my kids into coming with me which is wonderful. To be honest I am extremely uncomfortable going out on my own which means I get more DNFs because I get self conscious and give up. So that means unless I can talk/blackmail someone...

Re: Newbie thread: Which GPS brand to buy - Garmin or Magellan?

GeoMuppets, if you do an update to the latest software for the Explorist GC they have fixed the map problem with roads, it now shows them all. It's definately tough, I dropped mine while out on my bike over the weekend and managed to run it over. It's fine, so gotta love that, I am with you, excelle...

Re: Just updated my explorist GC and.......

I've checked the settings just incase but it's set to show all caches. I can get it to show me 'smileys' if I individually set them to found it just doesn't seem to be picking it up from GSAK....

Just updated my explorist GC and.......

.. now it won't mark the 'found' caches from GSAK onto the unit. Am I doing something wrong or is it a glitch in the update? Always before when I sent the Caches from GSAK to the GPS the ones I'd previously logged as found came up that way but now they don't. Doing them all one by one is going to re...

Re: Those Badges and those Darned logs!

I think the OP was just about long wordy logs that are copied and pasted over and over so you get the exact thing on a run of caches and I can understand that. Can I also add that the same can be said about cache Posters!! I get it that you have done a series of caches in a beautiful and historic pa...

Re: You know you're a Geocacher when............................

You spend several hours with the GCA map and google maps open while you plan all your stops on a road trip around which towns have the most Geocaches close together...
I suspect it's going to take me 6 months to drive from Melbourne to Brisbane.... :-k

Re: Report GCA Site issues here

Hate to be a total pain but my finds are still not showing up on the map, none of the ones I've found are showing in green, just their usual blue/pink :(
