Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011
Sigh. I've just spent 30 minutes or so re-painting my first gnome. Before: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4088/5134545062_e629728522_m.jpg After: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4040/5134545906_cd36ded385_m.jpg I need to add more red to him. i'm trying to make him a scout-gnome. Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011
Bunnings only seemed to have pre-painted ones. $4.95 for a 30cm one. (or ten bucks or something for a larger one) I thought i had gnomes in my backyard, but they've already seemed to mysteriously dissapear. :S If anyone knows where to find un-painted gnomes in ACT (preferably south side!), please le...

Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011
Ok, Canberra people: remember Floriade? The gnome display and competition included gnomes you could buy and paint. I think they were available from local hardware shops. Not sure which ones, but I'm guessing that the shops will have a few left over.... Wendy I think it was just IGA's selling them? ...

Re: "Sent from my mobile device"
Arrgh! One of the guys in my rover crew that also discovered geocaching, that faithful night, has made every single log apart from three "Sent from my mobile device". Looks like i'm going to have to bluntly explain that..he could use his words a bit more. :S (ok, i'm kinda proud that he's now findin...

Re: You know you're a Geocacher when............................
you break down on the side of the highway, at some ungodly hour, and whilst walking to find a nrma phone, you've found at least three spots that would be perfect to place a cache. :D (i'm not sure how i'll remember this..no gps and an iphone with no battery life makes this difficult. when i do get a...

Re: You know you're a Geocacher when............................
You go on a scavenger hunt with rovers (scouts), and after not being able to find one of the clues, two of the OTHER rovers (whom i always suspected were muggles until now) go "shit, it's been muggled." (I couldnt stop laughing at this..to be honest.) And on the way home, you walk past an electricit...

Re: 10/10/10 A nice number
let me see.. I woke up around 10:10am. Canberra was about 10 degrees..as it's lame. I was late for a date by 10 minutes, because i got sidetracked, and wanted one or two caches along the way. It took me more than 10 minutes to find one of those said caches. It took me honestly 10 seconds to f...

Re: What would you do. . .
it depends really, i've only sent a "sent from my mobile device" log once. and then, the iphone was playing up (what a suprise ) I've also tried to write long-ish logs on said phone. It is quite difficult. (Yes, logging them when i get to a computer would be easy...if i could remember names...

Hi, my name's bronwyn, and i'm an..wait, wrong forum, sorry. ;) I'm from canberra, and was introduced to geocaching one night, with rovers. (big kids version of scouts!), and ..a month or two later, i'm still here. :D (also, for the lulz, the guy who ran that night has found four..i've found 22. and...
