Someone mentioned this during lunch at work today. I wonder if the IT dept noticed the enormous spike in traffic after lunch! This could be pretty handy for geocaching too. Not so much for looking at a cache location, except perhaps for drive bys, but for getting a general feeling for the area and f...

It would be great to have an event with 100's of cachers or teams present, but I don't quite understand the big deal about the "mega" event. The main thing is the opportunity to meet other cachers and have a good time so who cares what it's called? Anyway, assuming GS is too USA centric to adjust th...

The file is actually about 2.7 Megs with 396 caches. I'll just have to be a bit less ambitious I guess.
Great program. Thanks

Hi Kevin, Just trying out the new PPQ. When I submit a GPX, it appears to fail without any diagnositic. Could it be too large or is something else the matter perhaps? The PQ has nearly 400 entries so it's not small, but I recall someone else saying it was working with 300 caches. Can you perhaps let...

Just downloaded the program into my K750I. Works great. Can't wait to do away with all those pesky printouts.<p>
Thanks Kevin<p>

If the original comes back into circulation, ask whoever's got the duplicate to get it back to you somehow (or hang on to it as a trophy, unless and until you need it again!)

Use of copy TB dog tag

I have wondered at the possible use of the copy TB dog tag supplied by Groundspeak a few times and a few days back we came across a TB that had been re-launched with the Copy tag after being lost. Since we appear to have lost a TB of our own in the hands of a 2-time cacher who no longer responds to ...

It may be worth noting, that while the position accuracy of the etrex and similar GPSr's that use the civilian GPS signal is only accurate to 5-10 metres or so, the velocity indicated is usually much better than could be obtained by time and positions alone, since most (possibly all) receivers use t...

Seems it has something to do with reading the SD card. Further tests at the dealer confirmed that it works without the SD card plugged in, but even with a new blank SD card, it flakes out a few seconds after turn on.<p> It's now in the process of being returned to GME. Guess I'll just have to wait a...

firstly i would install the current firmware from the garmin website and see if that helps. secondly, bypass the dealer & Contact GME electrophone directly. There after sales service (in my experience) has been excellent. Ive had a repair done at no cost out of warranty! This is assuming this is a ...

Garmin 60CSx flakes out - Possible manufacturing defect

My second Garmin 60CSx has appears to have developed the same fault that caused me to return the first after a few days. Given that this has happened to two units now, it looks like there may be a manufacturing issue with this GPSr.<p> After turning the unit on, the display lights up, but then fades...

Hi - "Coffee and Cache" consists of me (Steve/Dad), Mum, Son 9 and Daughter 7.</p> We started caching under the name "SteveJP", after yours truly got a Garmin 60CSx for Christmas and I thought he's give it a go. Well, looks like the whole family got hooked so we need to make a name change that would...
