Re: Is Geocaching Australia worth pursuing?
Like many others we would be devastated if GCA were to disappear. We particularly enjoy finding remote trig points, some of the old cairns are works of art. We also use GCA stats facilities, map access and forum for current and past information. We have tried to promote GCA at events and on meeting ...

Re: Report dragonZone issues / problems here
Thanks to the hard working fairies for quickly resolving the problem of the disappearing dragon points. You guys certainly have the magic touch. Just keep the red dragon far enough away so that points don't vaporise again. Thanks again.

Re: A winter dragonZone game (discussion)
Like Sharnies tribe we have also lost DZ points. All our 0.5 daily points except for today and yesterday have disappeared from the other points list and well over 1000 winter games points have gone. When we last checked our DZ page points to next level said 199.75 now over 1000. Are there gremilins ...

One of the best places for seeing platypus is Bells Parade in Latrobe(just south of East Devonport). Early morning and evening is best. There are several caches on nearby Pig Island.

Re: We're baaaaack. TAS, VIC
Hello Maurice, We're in the NW of Tasmania, 15km west of Devonport where the ferry comes in and would be happy to help if we can. There are several caches along the coast worth stopping for - some because they are great caches eg GC1DGJK Bluff Shell, GC3V5YQ Mary MacKillop Devonport and GC4QMWQ Mina...

Re: A winter dragonZone game (discussion)
If we put out a GCA cache every day for 28 days does that count as a streak?
No hope of getting one any other way.

Like LuckyL10n we only log a cache of any type once so will miss out on these finds. We are looking for ways around this and have a few strategies we will try once the game starts.

Re: How many people still visit the forums
Usually check in daily. Am not a facebook user and find past posts on GCA forum most useful. Have no ideas about attracting users back to the forum. Just think its a sign of the times.

Re: A winter dragonZone game (discussion)
We'd play but have the same problem as others - have found most GA caches that are not in very hard to get to places in Tassie. Certainly would put out a few more.

Thanks for the warning CraigRat. Like others small inconveniences are by far outweighed by the final advantages. Looking forward to the updated system.
