Re: What's the hidden date when listing an event cache?

If I'm creating a listing for an event (GCA), is the hidden date today or the day of the event? I've got my draft listing ready, just hesitating over the right date to use. I know with moveables for the cache race we need to put in a future date, so that they all publish on 1/12/12. Do events work ...

Re: Caching Etiquette -- First Meetings

Some of these stories are quite humorous. Ironically pjmpjm was the first cacher that I'd ever had a full blown search with... Yep! I well remember that day and that Calypso62 multi! We met while searching for WP1. And there are in fact several geocachers I'm now friends with . . . whom I first met...

Re: Caching games this year?

Hey, maybe they could all be wheelchairs this year. Or bikes. Or other alternative modes of transport. Each one with chain and lock. In plain sight. You need the combo, unlock it and ride it to the next location and hide it. Of course, then you have to walk back. But still. Stop someone placing 20 ...

Re: You know you're a Geocacher when............................

Location: Victoria, Australia day1976 found Unexpected (Traditional Cache) at 4/30/2012 Log Date: 4/30/2012 After reding the previous logs I was prepared to be looking for a non-traditional cache. Once arriving at GZ I began looking for things that looked just a bit out of the ordinary. The only th...

Re: The other kind of 'find'.

I found $25 at a carpark cache once, I assumed it was a 16th to find prize! Regarding the 'hikers' who found some human bones at Londonderry NSW, the nearest GCA cache is 1.5km away, and GC 2km. I know this because we (SES) were requested to help with an evidence search there. I once found waaaay m...

Re: Minimalist Cache Logs -- Opinions Wanted

In fairness to the people who post on this forum, I will say that this cache owner does not like me for personal reasons I can guess at, but could not conclusively prove. Naturally I have been shocked that Groundspeak supported this action, apart from the shock at the treatment I have received. I h...
