Re: Where do you see geocaching in the next 10 years?
I've been enjoying reading this thread this afternoon. It shows just how much different people get different things out of caching. As much as I enjoy finding regular and large caches, I think I could count on one hand the number of times that I have actually swapped anything! However I still grumbl...

Re: 1817 Days all alone
Hi NotHisRealName. Nichols Knob is nowhere near a National Park. It would be a brave Chief Ranger or Pollie to draw a link between Geocaching in NSW National Parks and Geocaching on Unallocated Crown Land in remote outback Western Australia. I am aware of the location of the cache; I was merely poi...

Re: 1817 Days all alone
Somehow I do not think circulating a video like this will help support the cause of granting geocachers access to National Parks in NSW. From a National Parks point of view it is driving like this that supports the ban.

Re: Do we get double points for visiting last 5 geocaches TWICE?
lol!! So what have YOU lost while geocaching??? #-o I reckon I have gone close to loosing my sanity a few times trying to crack some puzzle caches ;-) Chip once left our Gizmo at a cache in Raymond Terrace. Sadly we didn't notice until the in-car Gizmo told us we had we reached the next cache; 45 m...

GPX on iPhone
What do people consider the best app for viewing GPX files on the iPhone. I know that I have read threads here before but I can't seem to find them, and a quick view in the app store seems to indicate that the Groundspeak app uses the database and does not refer at all to GPX files. Thanks in advance.

Scouting Cachers
I have noticed over my caching that a fair number of cachers have a past or present affiliation with the Scout Association. At the last Scout Jamboree (Elmore) I was disappointed to have to walk a few km to the nearest cache, and even then there were only two in town. It was, however, noted that a g...

Re: How many DNFs have you had?
An old saying: "Ain't no shame in a DNF" I actually get more frustrated as an owner when people don't post DNFs. I hate getting emails asking me to check if a cache is there when no one has actually posted a DNF! If people don't log DNFs then don't expect a cache inspection. I also don't like it wh...

Re: Have you cached on Christmas Day?
Any day is a good day for caching. Birthdays, Easter and Christmas have all been cached on! My brother in law and I once snuck out of the family Christmas do to walk the 3km return to get to a cache!

Re: Race to FTF,
The FTF race in Wollongong is often very crowded. It is nothing to bump into 1 or 2 fellow cachers when a cache is first published. I think that I might have read once that five teams turned up to race for the FTF!

Re: CHRISTMAS CACHING TRIP TO TASMANIA
Chip and I normally get down to Tassie at least twice a year. It is our favourite place to have holidays. We're headed down in October for two weeks to raft the Franklin River :-) :-) :-) Last November we spent almost two weeks driving around the state and caching. I did all of the numbers before we...

Re: Logs not updating
Excellent, thanks! I suspect it may have been due to a deleted log when the wrong cache was logged in Tassie in February.
Much appreciated!

Re: Logs not updating
This just gets more and more bizarre!
I just uploaded my GC finds .GPX file to GCA.
GC says 1539 finds (as does CacheStats), however GCA now reports 1543 finds on 1542 caches!
