Re: Oregon 450t has lost its topo maps
I had a Garmin device (StreetPilot c510) that 'lost' its maps at one stage. I called Garmin (sadly had to wait online for a LONG time) and they emailed me a very small file (<1mb) to put into a directory, and all was restored. Hopefully your story is just as favourable!

Re: Garmin Oregon 650
yes theoretically unlimited amount, although I haven't (obviously) tested it out, but perhaps I will try to dump my whole GSAK DB next week and see how that goes... I've got a database of nearly 50,000 (we don't really know where we want to go yet, so I am preparing for all eventualities!) for our ...

Re: Garmin Oregon 650
Did I read somewhere that these units can store data for over 2,000,000 geocaches, ie every active GC.com cache on the planet (and the one above it)?

Offline Andriod Maps
Does anyone have a good Andriod app that they use for offline routable maps? I know that Tom Tom has such a app. I have always used Garmin and was therefore hoping to use their app, however it does not seem to exist. I was hoping that someone would know of an app that you can upload a GPX file as PO...

Re: Logging Archived Caches
How do you even find archived caches? Is there a pocket query you can run to see what's nearby? There is a bloke in QLD that has bookmark lists of just about every cache ever archived in Australia. I think his name is Crew153 (or something along those lines). You can run a pocket query based on the...

Re: Anyone ever get sacked (or nearly) for geocaching?
I find the odd cache between meetings when on the road, if I have time to spare. But for the most part I try to keep caching out of work time.

Re: Logging Archived Caches
I logged an archived cache yesterday, and a couple of hours later, the reviewer brought down the hammer, locking the page. It had been archived for over 2 years and had several finds and DNFs logged over that period. Why now? If it is the cache that I suspect that it is, then 'why now' is because e...

Re: Canada Caching
you know there are over 100,000 caches in Canada right? Only 31,000 in British Columbia though http://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest.aspx?state_id=64 That's less than a week's worth of pocket queries! If you know where you are going to be, you can use GSAK's "Geocaching.com access/Get geocaches......

Re: Canada Caching
I was hoping to 'easily' download all of the caches into a GSAK database, and then be able to transfer them to my unit as necessary.

Canada Caching
Does anybody know if any other website supplies the 'Cache Hidden Ranges' like this site does? I am trying to prepare a database for a trip to Canada soon. All help appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: Caching genealogy
I also trace myself back to here. I suspect that Jeremy actually adopted the cache from Peter Stuart, but I stand to be corrected.Toriaz wrote:

Peter Stuart is aka Iryshe, the admin account for Jeremy Irish, with no finds recorded.
