TapaTalk

Any chance the devs could incorporate Tapatalk for iphone users?

http://www.tapatalk.com/

Looks a lot easier to read the forum than using the Safari Browser on the iphone.

Re: Launching Australia's First Ever Mega Event-Wagga Wagga 2010

Whilst unfortunate, better the flooding is now than when the MEGA Event is on!!

Re: Garmin - A tale of woes!

Thanks for listening. Anyone want to place a bet on how long this unit will last? Matt, For what its worth I had a similar experience with my Nuvi310, which I was using with a RAM mount. It kept switching to data transfer mode when I was driving with the USB cable plugged in. Over a three month per...

Re: GCA PQs with PQ loader in GSAK

Macro is call "PQ Loader" it automatically grabs the queries from the server and loads them into the DB of the same name. Details here It nice in the fact that if you have different PQs that you want in different DBs, it is all done automatically, and you don't have to be a programmer to work it ou...

Re: Launching Australia's First Ever Mega Event-Wagga Wagga 2010

May I ask a dumb question by asking why would caches be/need to be taken offline during the event? With in excess of 500 attendees, all of whom will be wanting to log more than just an attendance at the MEGA Event, there will be owner maintenance issues with logsheets/logbooks needing replacement, ...

Re: CotY (Cache of the Year - 2010)

Hi c@w, I think the concept of a CotY is fantastic! However, the points system could reward caches that are placed in highly populated areas due to the ease accessing the cache. Could the points system be weighted such that the further away from each of the major population centres, as a suggestion ...

Re: Adelaide: cannot find shop selling GPS.

preferably a shop near Salisbury or the CBD... but anywhere is good. also, cheaper the better. Take a look at http://www.transceiverservices.com.au/ . They are close to Salisbury, on Main North Rd opposite Parafield Airport and have provided me with great service at competitive prices. There is a f...

Re: Request to Archive a Cache

I'm rather embarrassed that this continues to come up and I can see in retrospect how we should have approached the cache. However, if a cache is placed in what is considered to be a sensitive area, then that is all the more reason to provide detailed information on the cache page. I don't like to ...

Request to Archive a Cache

I have received an email from a fellow cacher (who is no longer caching) requesting that I archive one of my caches. Having not been active on this site for a while I just noticed youve put the "(CACHE NAME)" back up. You may feel that what we did in removing it was unwarranted but if you read the c...

Re: CAW Graphs

c@W, In my GC profile I was using: <img src="http://www.caughtatwork.net/geocaching/graphs/wpplotter.php?cacher=Jardry&area=sa&xl="> This plotted all my finds using the SA Map. Trying to achieve the same using the GCA domain, I used: <img src="http://geocaching.com.au/cacher/Jardry/plots/0010_finds....

Re: New Program - GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife)

I'm sure it has something to do with FS3 and how it skims the stats. I think that FS3 uses the GC ID# and not the cacher name. Likewsie, if you use your GC# instead of your cacher name to generate FS3 stats, your GCA finds won't aggregate into FS3. I'm also think it will be difficult to resolve as G...

Wiki Caching Record Update

Hi c@w

Can you update the Wiki for most consecutive days with a find (http://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/Caching_record]
Firesafe did 333 days. His record run ended earlier this year.
I'm sure Firesafe can PM you the commencement and ending dates.

Re: iPhone Apps

yeah i bought them both too. Keep groundspeak, it will load instant notifications and can be used to check status and logs that are mor recent than your gsak download Being a country bumpkin, coverage isn't so good in some of the places we venture, so groundspeak app won't be useful, which is where...
