Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Thanks C@W and SdL. I was aware that GCA owned the TP's but just expected the Hidden By to show GCA rather than a cacher name.caughtatwork wrote:TP's are community assets and are owned by Geocaching Australia.
All good.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
I've just received an email about a trig point being unarchived and, naturally, had a look at the details. All's good with the TP and the logs etc but I found a fault on the cache page... Clicking the link up the top left for the "hidden by" (AHOMBURG) actually links to the cacher profile of Geocach...

Re: Complaints thread
I don't know how to do a My Query, in spite of being shown several times. *sigh* http://geocaching.com.au/my/query/ Click Create New Query down at the bottom of the page. Follow your nose and name it something that makes sense to you. After you save the query you can then choose to see the results ...

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Good morning hard working faeries. GA6594 is not showing as archived despite an archived log dated 7Apr15. ](*,) I import all GCA's into my GSAK database along with the caches from "that other mob". GA6594 keeps showing as active both in GSAK and on GCA (no red line through the cache name etc). I kn...

Re: What can Geocaching Australia do for you in 2016?
I love the idea of History Cache. Particularly if there is a timeout and multiple question/answer possibilities. What can Geocaching Australia do for you in 2016? 1. The ability to add gallery items during the log stage rather than as an extra few steps. 2. An app for "i" devices. Yep, I know someon...

Re: 246 caches found in 24 hours by a team of 3
Holy thread revival Batman... . . . . It's not 'caching'. It's 'geocaching'. The 'geo' is important, and it isn't automatic because we happen to hide a lunch box on the surface of the planet. If we can't connect the two we're just playing Munzees. http://www.mazeguy.net/bigsmilies/thumbsup.gif Agre...

Re: Proposed navigation / menu change
In the menu. My Profile which will take you here: http://geocaching.com.au/my/ Then look for My Locations Yep, that works. Thanks C@W. I was trying to get to my profile via http://geocaching.com.au/cacher/WazzaAndWenches then "details" then "profile". It just links back to http://geocaching.com.au/...

Re: Proposed navigation / menu change
During the site rebuild (it's great, by the way), did the link to "set your locations" disappear or am I just blind? Wiki: To create, edit and delete locations you can go to your My Settings which can be found under the My tab on the navigation tabs. You can get there directly from this link http://...

Re: Power options
I've got a design in mind that will need electricity to keep going. Not a heap, but enough to power a clock and an electronic lock. Obviously a solar panel and a battery is one option I've been tossing around a similar idea but using something a bit different to a clock and lock. I do, however, nee...

Re: Proposed new home page
I am not sure if this something that has been overlooked, or a cunning plan, but I went to the shop page and once there, I couldn't escape. I USED to be able to click on the GA logo and go back to the home page, but not today. A bit like walking into Ikea. Once you're in you cannot get out without ...
