Re: Report dragonZone issues / problems here
This has probably been raised before but if not... Apparently you have 7 days to log your dragon zone points which all makes sense. The problem is that after a solid 12 days of nothing but caching in Melbourne I am quite a bit behind on logs and only just now logging caches I found a week ago. I th...

Draft Caches
I might be daft but I can't find my draft caches.
I've checked the Wiki & my profile but have had no luck. Please point me in the right direction.

Re: GeGnome ][ Electric Boogaloo
:gnome \:D/ I have been asked to inform the public that the GCA (Gnome Commonwealth Army) 666th Gnome Gnarmy will be active again from December 1, 2016 until January 31, 2016. Various Gnome volunteers will conduct surveillance operations during that period. Please assist them in any way possible. :...

The Hay Point No.2 Export Coal Loading Jetty was awarded an Engineering Heritage National Landmark in June 2013. https://www.engineersaustralia.org.au/engineering-heritage-queensland/engineering-heritage-national-landmark-hay-point-no2-jetty There is a plaque near the Public Viewing Area, Port Contr...

Re: Not logging DNFs
If I can't find a cache I generally log a DNF. I then decide whether to leave it on the unfound list or add it to my Ignore Lists. I've had a CO email me with instructions on where to stand & what to do to find a cache, so that was good as it was a long way from home. Each time I travelled through M...

Re: So where/how do you draw the line re safety?
I cache alone & am not interested in climbing trees etc so my PQs reflect that in the terrain rating. I've never had a really good sense of balance so know my limits. I travel alone & don't camp within 50 Ks of a built up area on a Friday or Saturday night - too many yobbos. If there are others camp...

Re: J_&_J
Guess the cammo for the container on the right. Antarctica. :) Interestingly if I just go into the forum without logging on I am presented with your photograph of the containers but if I logon then all I get is a link to the photograph. You'd reckon it'd be the other way round. Great pathtag btw.

Re: What's new on Geocaching Australia
When I click on the map, all caches no longer appear only GCA caches and mostly trigs. I really liked the map how it was before. i could zoom in anywhere and get everything I needed ,not any more. I followed C@W's advice "Find Now, All Sources" then added this as a Favourite. I then click on Google...

Re: Is Geocaching Australia worth pursuing?
I think we should stick with it. When I travel I always keep an eye out for GCA caches & get more satisfaction out of finding them than the other site's. My PQs are aimed at reducing the number of GC caches that get recorded on GSAK whereas all GCA caches, other than Locs, are gathered. I have lost ...

Re: How many people still visit the forums
Nearly every day unless out of range. Seldom actually logon though - just have a look at the topics. Also look at the Waymarking forum but hardly ever look at the Groundspeak geocaching forum. Don't use Facebook but am registered. A mistake.

Re: Caches in children's playgrounds
I'm > 60 & do majority of my caching alone. I cut out micros from my PQs for all states & pretty well got rid of playground caches. The only exceptions are on long trips. Currently have a PQ for all sizes within 40Ks of Sarina. I will look for caches in playgrounds only if there is no one about. Eve...

Re: Updating forum stars to show catches
I noted that not all my QLD GC finds were up to date so followed the GCA Wiki using GSAK & worked without any probs.
