Have a chat with Jim from the Burtons, he can make the supports you need , regulations on overhang are available from transport SA or a trailer manufacture , Wacky had the setup with the rooftop tent on top of trailer

It's a common problem from way back. Reinstall Mapsource and it should be fine

Skype is the best way if she can get good speed Internet ,
Google chat can work too.
If she can only get free slow speed wifi heytell is the best to use between mobile phones

I export mine from GSAK to a Mapsource or Ozi Explorer program.

Have you tried another sd card in the unit, it may be the car read in the Montana.

use another card and add some OSM or shonkymaps and see if that will load or show on screen

Another question, Does the Montana come with any maps at all ?

if so did you turn these maps off.
