GCA only map?

I'm sure this one has been asked before and I know that I can do it via queries, but is there any way I can set the basic GCA map to only show GCA caches? I'm often looking at a cache page and select the map to see what else is in the area. Sometimes I zoom out or pan around the area. My main intere...

Re: Circumnavigate the planet for dZ trophies

There are new dragonZone trophies available to be claimed! We have four new trophies up for grabs that reward those intrepid explorers who travel great distances in search of geocaches. For every 40,075km you travel between valid dragonZone geocaches, you effectively circumnavigate the world. These...

Re: Archived moveables

Thanks for the reply. The query technique seems the best solution. Interestingly, in many cases, a missing moveable has a previous finder stating "will get out soon". Either that or a whole bunch of people at an event logging finds but no-one ever re-hides it. Unfortunately, much of my caching is sp...

Archived moveables

I'm wondering if there's any way to conduct searches that include archived moveables? In recent times there seems to have been a tendency to quite ruthlessly archive moveables. One DNF seems to be a death sentence for a moveable, regardless of an owner's wish for it to remain active. I've found quit...

GA becoming hard work?

I'm trying to figure out what is happening to my interaction with GCA. Every time I visit the site, I have to log in. Doesn't matter if I check the "remember me" box. I try to reply to a post, suddenly my reply is gone and I have to log in again. I recently actually managed to contribute to a thread...

Re: Trig points

Is it mandatory to archive trigs on private property? I would think the majority of trigs in rural areas are on private property but sometimes it's tricky to tell. I've logged them where I've gone and banged on a farmers door to gain access. The trig itself might not be on private land but if it's l...

Re: Report Site Issues Here

I was wondering if there's any site reason why, every time I leave the forums, I have to log in again? Might be some setting of mine but it doesn't seem to happen anywhere else. I select "Log in automatically" but it doesn't. If I close this tab, then return to it, I'll have to enter user-name and p...

Re: 2016 / 2017 Game

If I were to suggest a theme for a game, I'd be looking at encouraging finding existing GCA caches; even if it is a re-find. GCA has not suffered from a shortage of hides, it's suffered from a shortage of finders. A cache is hidden, there's a flurry of activity, then it sits for years, with the spid...

Re: Should Archived Caches Count in dragonZone?

I'm of the feeling that archived caches should continue to be relevant. Initially I thought this to be a loophole but in reality, once archived, they are passive. They could be used strategically but only to a limited degree. Over time this would equal out and the complications in disallowing them c...

Re: GeGnome ][ Electric Boogaloo

Ok reread the rules - it's been 14 days and mine hasn't even moved yet. Am I allowed to move it once into a more high traffic area? Where it is is high traffic but obviously not high GCA traffic :( Sorry Chasburgs. I was in Adelaide last week and I eyed off Mr Snip Snip but he was just too far in t...

Re: Report GCA Site issues here

Thanks Chwiliwr, that's exactly what was happening to me, except I wasn't able to even click on the name and get a result, it kept going to the "account" page regardless. I thought it a problem with android as I have a few little issues on the site when using android.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here

Hey, problem gone! I thought I'd give it one more try and straight in.
Is this the faeries on the job or did I just get lucky? Thanks, these gnomes are eating us out of house and home. Out the door they go!

Re: Report GCA Site issues here

Further to the above, Friesianess has just been launching some gnomes, using my PC. She used the same technique and had no problem getting into her draft cache's editing page. Seems to be a problem specific to my account.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here

I seem to be having a problem that prevents me editing my draft caches. I have a few left over drafts from Bingo that I was going to use up on gnomes but I can't get into the draft to edit. I thought it was a problem relating to Android as it first occurred a few days ago when I was using a tablet b...

Restricted hiding locations

I was wondering what the simplest way is of establishing what cache hiding restrictions apply where?
I know that if I plug a location into a draft cache, it'll come up with appropriate warnings but how does one consider the warnings, prior to ever contemplating the hide?
