I wasn't aware until the Tsumani debate started that there actually was a .com.au site (other than the forum itself). Maybe thats my fault for not exploring the site properly, but thanks to the debate I now know. I would like the option of finding caches that are listed on either or both sites, rath...

Placing caches in playgrounds

Ive just read a log in Rollin Rollin Rollin, a recently placed cache close to Adelaide. It seems one cacher is a little concerned about the image of a mature male hanging around playgrounds. We have done a lot of caches like this one and I must admit Ive never really considered this issue before. We...

This was a rather busy cache today by the sound of things, we were there around 3ish and gwyndigo about 320ish. i know Freddo was also there a little earlier as we bumped into him at another site just before.

We should have popped into the pub and had an impromptu event cache!

Yes I have it, not highly recommended though. I wouldnt pay the cash again. Way too confusing for general use but occasionally useful for odd urban cache locations.

Richard, the team we saw grabbed the cache quickly and took it to the back of the pub to log it. When we approached them they were filling in the log and had the cache box in hand. Funny as I noticed a suzuki parked in the pub carpark. It could be they were using the camera as a visual disguise. Wil...

Gee so many different opinions.... Personally I like the Geko, its keypad to me is more user friendly than the Etrex.I had one for about a year and never really got used to it but then I was using a Garmin 2plus in the car and the geko menu is similar button wise. Ive now got a 301 and had the 201 f...

I have a Geko 201, find it very easy to use. When I started out i had an old e-trex (don't know what model it was, but it was yellow) that was OK too, but I prefer the geko I've got now. I should add my reasons for the preference, the geko being small it fits in a mobile phone holder on my backpack ...

Alex is obviously a man after my own stomach. There are so many great places to eat here. Gengis Khan, no to far from Freddo cache "Resevoir Frogs", Ky Chow also near a Freddo cache "Beauty" and our other fave is Imperial Peking, also near a Freddo cache (can't remember the name right now). Anyone e...
