Re: What's new on Geocaching Australia
Bear with me, remembering that I may not have a clue what I'm talking about: On the front page, where you have the title, the map, and the words in box down the right side of the map. I looked at that yesterday, checked again today, and I have just figured out what it is meant to be. Well, I think s...

Re: Summarise Geocaching in 2 paragraphs
I prefer to think I might find treasure. Who wants to find a scavenger anyway?

Re: Summarise Geocaching in 2 paragraphs
How about something like this: Geocaching is a treasure hunt with something for everyone. Using map coordinates and a GPS enabled device, you can find a geocache near your home, in the city, in the bush or in Antarctica. Geocaches come in all shapes and sizes too. You can find a tiny little one as s...

Re: Proposed new home page
If you mean those four boxes you can click on to search for a cache, I would go with either the blue of the Australia map on the earlier page, or use the colours of the logo: orange yellow green and blue.

Re: Swaggies are going to be removed from Geocaching Australia
It was an excellent idea, and I'm sorry it didn't take off. I did my bit. This is disappointing news, but I quite understand.

"The dragonZone stuff is likely to stay."
Bugger. I don't play the dragon game, and I don't understand it, so every reference to it just adds to my overall confusion. I hoped it would be short term, like the gnome race, etc.

Suzuiq: Just look at a map and find one near your home. That's usually a good start.

Re: Purge of missing movable caches
I like the thought, Pesky!, but wouldn't we be rewarding the very behaviour that contributed to the problem in the first place?
When I find that someone has caches in their car (or where ever) I don't want to reward them, I want to choke them with said caches.

Re: "Commercial" events?
I have asked questions about how GCA is run, and where the money comes from, and where it goes, in the past, and I have received clear concise answers on every occasion. It's sad that other volunteer organisations are not as transparent and willing to share knowledge. I strongly feel that GCA as an ...

Re: "Commercial" events?
I think the point is that this is a Groundspeak issue.
I feel it should be brought up there, if someone has a problem.
GA isn't going to care about a GC listing.

Not as often as I'd like. There isn't much happening here these days.
