Warm southern congratulations to the new arrivals in the Sandy Feet and Chaos teams. There must be something in that northern water!

Don't know about 'secrets' - I think a bit of practice has certainly helped us though. Mary & I are fortunate enough now to have plenty of opportunities to practice, and lots of spare time to do it in.

I don't know much about it either, Clyde, but I notice that if you change the Encoding setting in IE (View/Encoding) from "Unicode ( UTF-8 )" to "Western European ISO" the on-line page title changes to "Björlanda Kile" too. Maybe all you have to do is somehow force a reverse Code Page change?

Also noticed that logged finds to webcam caches now dont get you a point, I suspect virtuals are the same as well. Is this a deliberate permanent change, or a glitch as they re-code the site? There is a thread about this on the secondary forum [ http://ubbx.groundspeak.com/6/ubb.x?a=tpc&s=572600731...

One way is to open a 'Waypoint Properties' window in Ozi (right click on any waypoint, then on 'Properties' in the resulting pop-up menu). Then open the 'Waypoint Symbol' drop-down box and scroll through the symbols till you find the one you want, and read off the corresponding number. If you have a...

Re: cache coatings

.. I think its called Spray stone! cool stuff its tough, and looks like granite in various colors when dry. We tried random sprayings of various colour patches over a base colour - too laborious. Then we tried the stencil approach for a while - similar problem. Then we spotted Dulux Speckle at our ...

He certainly gets some numbers that way, but others he's getting by trial and error. Easy enough to do - just go to the 'Track Travel Bugs' page, type in some numbers in the range of known bugs until you find one that is valid (it is usually very quick), then you know the number of that bug and wher...

If you look at the entry here ( http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=b47ffb76-be55-4873-85a7-1ec7c33caead ) for 28th July it looks like he just experiments with different numbers. I've seen a couple like this - claimed to be an error ("must have written numbers down wrong") but lef...

How to increase your TB (and cache) count.

Have a look at this log for Sep 6th: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=89600 Follow up to his profile and look at all the TBs and caches he has 'found', and then look at a selection of each, particularly the most recent page. Sure gets around doesn't he? New York one day, ...
