We waited for 40 caches found before we placed any, and since then 2 of my caches have been wrong co-ords - one being a dd mmm problem and one being a slip of a finger and putting the cache a whole km out as caughtatwork found out on a very cold and wet day. (and that placement was after 200 finds!)...

I had no probs caching in the UK. I did get a little excited when i got to E/W 000.00.000. If you're out cambridge way try Airy's Legacy - the cache gives you this experience. i'm sure there are others like it there too!

For me i think it is a bit of the spy in me. Knowing that these 'treasures' are hidden there and every day thousands of people can walk or drive past it never know that it's there. Also a bit of the adventure. I did Black & Gold in Ballarat the other day, and although it wasn't hardcore climbing, it...

I have no solutions or ideas for you.
Just wanted to say I'm very envious. I'd love to go caching in a helicopter.

if anyone is still keen on getting a big event going let me know
If we can plan it far enough in advance we could book out a caravan park with cabins etc.

There was talk about a national event in Mildura, but it died down after a bit.
I probably wouldn't travel all the way to Sydney for an event, but would go half way if it was a good one!

We couldn't work out whose name to put first in a combined caching name (adam&shelly or shelly&adam), so we went for the obscure simpsons reference instead. This is the reason all my caches now are in clear containers, so it's quite obvious that it's harmless if parkies, police or general muggles stumble across it. If they knew that it was just a box filled with toys then they wouldn't report it as a bomb.
