Re: Allocating dZ points more than once

Agree that only allocating the points make it alot simpler and somewhat more strategic. Otherwise, it might get a bit mad with two cachers, allocating and unallocating points right up until the deadline....

Historical and Active Pod caches

I have finally done it. Been planning a pod cache since about 2010. Never quite got there but I finally found some tech which lowered the barrier to entry. Is http://geocaching.com.au/cache/ga7419 the first ever pod cache listed? I'm actually quite excited by it. It even seems fun to me (but takes a...

Re: Allocating dZ points more than once

I was thinking you could leave open the ability to assign points for the week after the find. What ever it ends up on after the week, it would get locked at that.

But then again, no biggie. It was a noob click by me on a mobile device. Lucky :minotaur are still in control!

Allocating dZ points more than once

I click a little bit too early and instead of allocating all the points I could, I only allocated 0.5 points. zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Is there anywhere to go and add some more points? It doesn't appear in the list for caches to have pointed allocated against.

Re: What can Geocaching Australia do for you in 2016?

I like the history cache concept as well. It is like a refinement of a multi but with a virtual component? Either way, worthy to pursue.

Send a message to ROSS1957 and see if he can grab Fat Boy on the way to Perth. Sadly I missed them as I drove back at night with a car full of kids.....

Re: GeGnome ][ Electric Boogaloo

That wasn't even quite all of them..... :gnome :gnomette Are these your entries, or are you collecting them from the game? I hope they're not being deprived of moves by being collected. They were all moved to an event and then moved out by different cachers. So in fact probably a move or two extra!...

Re: GeGnome ][ Electric Boogaloo

Is it possible to get the most distinct number of gegnome2 gnomes by cacher? I am interested in offering a prize for the most unique gegnome2 finds for a West Aussie cacher. Just trying some ideas to keep them going through to the end of Jan.

Re: Allocating dZ Points on repeat finds

That seems pretty fair. I was worried players could put multiple moves on a cache and rack up the points in a very short space of time.

Allocating dZ Points on repeat finds

In the case of finding moveables, can you allocated the maximum points for each tome you find? For some reason, I interpreted you can only allocate points once on a cache.

Re: GCA cache games

The gnome race is being very well received in WA with a number of groundspeak cachers joining in for the first time. That brings some teething issues but it is great to have some new GCA cachers! :gnome

Re: GeGnome ][ Electric Boogaloo

The rule is "Caches must be found and hidden by the same geocacher (i.e. no mailing the GeGnome to another geocacher to hide)." in relation to your statement "Is not this type of 'move' log contrary to the rules. " Since we found and then hid each gnome (on a fence post) by the respective cacher the...
