Re: TrigPointing

One advantage of Trig Points, virtuals, locationless etc. is that Parks & Wildlife services and City Councils can't go in and remove them. :)

Re: Cache sounds

Sound is a form of energy. A tree gets energy from the sun in the form of light and heat and converts it through photosynthesis into growth and the ability to stand against the force of gravity. As we all know, energy is neither created nor destroyed. So when a tree falls, it releases kinetic energy...

Re: New Program - GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife)

Can someone with more computer savvy than me help? I have set up the GSAK program on a new computer, and transfered my old settings to GSAK on my new computer. Everything works OK... EXCEPT, when I try to use the ipod_notes_multi Macro to transfer cache data from GSAK to my ipod. I'm now getting a m...

Re: First timer questions

You may also come across Travel Bugs and Geocoins in caches. Travel bugs (TB's) are dogtags with a code, attached to something. Owners release these into caches with a specific 'mission' which may be written with the TB, or will be posted on the GC.com website. Geocoins also have codes on them and a...

Re: How many FTF finds have you had?

One, at 10pm on a rainy night, and only by a couple of minutes. Two other cars parked near GZ while I was there but drove off again. Probably when they saw my torchlight. They may have considered a FTF worthy of getting wet on a dark night, but a mere 'find' not worth getting wet.

Navigating around GCA.com - a quick question

Hi, when I'm in the forum section how do I quickly navigate back to the home page (without having to multiple hit the back arrow button)? There doesn't appear to be an obvious link back - or am I suffering link blindness. 8) Thanks.

Did someone say that the disease wasn't transmitted by pigs? Apparently not in Egypt! -> http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2009/05/03/2559200.htm  Methinks the Egyptian government has another agenda in removing their whole pig population, justified by the swine flu 'pandemic'. I'm just not ...

Adopting an archived cache near an active cache

I am helping a fellow cacher get his cache series up and running again and am in the process of adopting them. I have got all except one into shape, but the one missing had been archived. There is now another cache within 160m of where the archived cache used to be. To get this archived cache up and...
