I was brave Bear Left, but when I went to edit the page I found there are two "Cache type" pages. The one that the "Hide a new cache page" links to http://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/Cache_type which has no text (and cannot be found using the "all pages" option on the wiki) Then there is the one I a...

The "Geocache" page in the wiki does describe the types of caches and then links to further details. Is it possible to either:- - make the "cache types explained" link to the "Geocache" page in the...

I for one have tried to always follow the GC requirements when placing my later caches on GCA. Why? Because I really don't want to see the landscape overrun with a lot of GCA caches that no one wants to do. Here here. I don't think anyone wants "free reign" to mean endless rubbish caches. ... Put s...

Eek, this geocaching economy is getting a little disturbing. Paid accounts, coins, collectibles, sponsored TBs, merchandising. The non-profit community stuff's ok, but I see far too much marketing everywhere else already. For Sale: Your name and smiley on my next 5 finds, only $9.95 + S+H For Aucti...

I bet embi, swampy and iriblit have stories about some of the things that have been submitted to them as gc.com reviewers! Patience of saints; off topic, but we owe them big time :!: On topic, "yes" for me. I've only been playing for a short while and still recall trying to figure out how to join i...

Attended a gathering earlier in the week where several new 'coins' were set loose - was amazed to see seveal people with rather heavy binders full of geocoins they'd collected. The coins here seem to be evolving into two distinct types - the traditional TB style that can be tracked online, and a 'c...

but there's no way to stop anyone placing a seriously inappropriate cache if they want to. If I were intentionally trying to cause havoc would I bother logging it on any site as a cache? I have not met many cachers, but we seem like a pretty harmless bunch. If it was a cacher thinking it was funny ...

I may be wrong but i am assuming the reviewer who approved your cache on the other site would be the same one who does so on the Aussie site . GCA is self regulating - it is up to the owner to consider the placement's position and appropriateness. The forum's such as this are one form of feedback t...

They will be travelling via GC most of the way, particularly when they leave Oz. Will a swaggie work on non GCA caches?
