I think I'll be right - provided they don't ask my name :P

Re: Senate - Call for Nominations for 2015

I will put up my hand as the Queensland delegate. I have talked to Ruzzelz and he has not been active on GCA for a while now. I have not placed any GCA caches as I don't consider that the GCA community in Queensland is active enough to sustain GCA caches. I run PQs on all the states and New Zealand...

Re: How many people still visit the forums

G'day! I'm still here. Have nearly exclusively been and still am, a creeper. I rarely post but read most threads in the boards I find interesting (General, GCA, Queensland, NSW mostly). I'd guess I visit every other day, if not daily. I receive the GCA Daily update and although a lot less than I use...

Re: Unloved - What is your total?

I'm 'one of the other up in QLD' that Fangsoki mentions. I too like a good archived find, but a much unloved active find also. My 5000th milestone was determined by the fact that the longest unfound in Australia was only 83km from home (and a ripper of a geocache to boot) While I don't display detai...

Re: Trackables poll

I hate to leave trackables in caches, but they don't really float my boat. I tend to log them, then leave them in the next appropriately sized cache. I prefer coins as they often look decent and not just a maccas toy with a TB as I see most dog tags have been adorned with.

Re: Two million caches

I'm very tempted to do a bulk delete on these notes, especially the ones with TB numbers in them. There seem to be a lot of people who really don't get the "Go outside and find things" basis of geocaching and persist in doing things that only exist as bits, not atoms! Do it! It is very much spam an...

Re: You know you're a Geocacher when............................

You buy a new pair of hiking boots and are incredibly excited when you notice a set of co-ords inside the tongue.

Turns out they were for the company HQ in France. No there was not a cache nearby :(

GC1EF7J - World Wide Cache - Oceania

G'day all (and especially Sydney folk), It has come to my attention that there is an international effort to complete a series of caches which includes the one in the title. World Wide Cache - Oceania . User DeadAhead is on the lookout for an Australian to help out with the challenge. If you are kee...

Re: Your geocaching goals 2013

My two goals for the year after I grab #3000 this month are: - Complete my calendar (only 65 days left in the year, the last of which being Christmas 2013) - Complete my D/T graph (currently sitting at 78/81, so three left to go) I've felt myself moving away from the numbers a little recently (as my...

Re: You know you're a Geocacher when............................

You receive an invite in the mail for a housewarming and tucked inside the standard issue invite is a note for 'geo-aware friends' with co-ords, rather than an address.
