GPX / Tablet
Any advise on the following would be appreciated, I can be a bit of a Luddite sometimes. I'm looking for a way of moving GPX files to my Oregon. Is there an (easy) method to do this via my smart phone or say a tablet (I am thinking of buying one). I am used to plugging my Oregon into my laptop and d...

Re: Stats Removal from GCA?
I think I remember reading you doing this for Tangles years ago if that helps to see what you did there... That's what I was referring to although you wouldn't know that. Problem is most of the stats ignore that. It was done for logs (mainly). So that's why Tangles was always labelled as such. I ha...

Re: Scouting Cachers
We were given photos of our campsite. I believe that the NSW Contingent Team took a photo of every NSW campsite on their last visit. It looks like the underbrush you refer to may have already been removed. Does your map show any toilets or showers in Highlands? Our map does not, and we were told tha...

Our Troop has been given our number and campsite allocation for AJ2013. We are Highlands Troop 19 (H19). We are camped approximately at S 25° 30.435 E 152° 39.375 (approximation from viewing the map last night).

Re: How long is too long ??
I don't move, discover (etcetera) trackables (with the exception of our goedog). However, my partner, Chip often moves them along. Due to work, uni, work, life in general, work and other excuses she often won't get a chance to log her cache finds for some weeks after she has made them. She always gr...

Re: Stash Notes
I put stash notes in my original caches years and years ago, but I could not remember the last time I used one. No particular reason why I stopped, I guess maybe i forgot a couple of times and then got out of the habit!

I leave nothing as making swaps means it takes longer to get to the next cache!wyrdsister wrote:what do you leave and why?

Re: PC connection oregon
Big Matt had some issues with the USB/power connector on his original Oregon if I recall. There was a thread here some time back with the bottom line being that the USB connector is the weakest link of the entire unit. Since then Chip and I have been very careful when plugging and unplugging the uni...
