Re:

After e:mailing a request for a multi-button reset method to Uniden, I was sent a reply asking me to call a specific tech on a specific number. After describing the problem to him, he advised me to send him the unit for him to reset AT NO CHARGE  , even though warranty has long expired. I ha...

Not quite - and likewise with national unification.
In WA it is quite legal to do a U-Turn over double white lines.

Re: GCA Android App - GA Cacher

The app keeps crashing since the last 2 updates. Downloads nearest caches then when storing, it forces close of the app. Haven't been able to open it since. Not useable for me at present yet it was working fine before. can you install "alogcat" and then run it immediately after the crash then email...

Re: Report GCA Site issues here

1] Looks like "to" is triggering directions mode - "Heaven )" being the location in London, with "-34.07337 150.81686 (Stairway" as the origin being unrecognised. Can be worked around by double-quoting within the brackets.

2] '#' should be escaped in the URL with '%23'.

We're looking to a new machine this year (about $8K to $10K investment) which should sort most of these sorts of problems out.
No problem - wasn't sure if it may be something out of the ordinary requiring attention. Thanks.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here

Just a heads up after trying to look at finds/logs on my cacher page (http://geocaching.com.au/cacher/mark_rattigan/finds and http://geocaching.com.au/cacher/mark_rattigan/logs). Site header/banner loads fine, however the db queries seem to be non-responsive. Probably needs a kick. Thanks as always....

Re: ACT Bingo caches

I agree with you David - poor form to log a cache as 'moved', giving it the appearance of being available to be found when it's actually not. I've been frustrated in the past (a couple of years ago) by an ACT cacher 'hiding' a group of moveables, which I dutifully attempted to find, only for 'finds'...

If you're referring to me, unfortunately I could only grab half a dozen, and as we're not heading back home too soon they'll be rehidden within Perth. :(

Re: Looking for advice on Singapore Maps

http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl maps worked brilliantly for me.

http://osm.pleiades.uni-wuppertal.de/ga ... 241926.img for the current available Singapore map. Dump it in your Garmin folder, and enable through 'Setup'.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here

I've just noticed a button I don't think I've ever used, but unfortunately will never actually be able to use. The GCA google maps allow selection of OSMtah (aka osmarender) - this service is no longer, and will forever provide a blank grey map. You may want to remove this option. Probably not a pri...

Re: Android GPS problem

Hmmm... I had my wildfire say yesterday, that i was located in North Queensland. I even fired up the GC app, and yeah! It still showed my location as queensland!! ...i was sitting in Canberra. Is that a GPS problem? :-k More likely a Google Location Services problem.. Got new neighbours by chance t...

Re: Report GCA Site issues here

gc23mz9 appears to have been missed from the 'feed' for the last month and I assume was automatically marked as archived. It's not - it's still alive and kicking. I've imported logs, but obviously can't unarchive it on GCA - are you able to help?

Cheers, Mark.
