What do you think of the VistaCX. I can get one on eBay for the right price ATM. Or the VentureCX they are a little cheaper than the Vista. Both will do you fine. The main difference is that the Vista includes electronic compass and barometric altimeter. I had the Venture cx for 2 years of caching,...

export POIs from City Navigator
Hi, I'm using City Navigator Australia 2008 and 2009 across several GPSs. The POIs are different between them. Mainly, the fire stations in my area. In 2008 they are named by Brigade. In 2009 they are just named "fire station." So I can't use 2009 to select "Black Stump Station" and navigate there. ...

So does anyone know with the Nuvi255, when it arrives it has City Nav NT maps, but do I need a microSD card to add POIs or does it leave a couple of MB spare in the internal memory for POIs before needing a card? The specs say it has 0mb internal memory and to use the MicroSD cards... maybe I can de...

Garmin POI time question
Hi, I have the speed/school zone POI for my Garmins (etrex venture cx, new Vista hcx, GPSMAP60c, and about to buy 3 Nuvi 255s for the 3 fire trucks). One thing though, is there any way of editing POIs to be time-dependant? This is especially relevant for the school zones, which in NSW for example ar...

eTrex Venture cx won't turn on :(
My GPS was working fine on the way to work this morning. Half way there I unplugged it from it's external power and turned it off, so I could plug my Bluetooth handsfree in to charge (they use the same mini usb plug). Now it doesn't turn on. Nothing. Batteries are ok. Used the car power adaptor and ...

OK the Saville is right in the heart of Chatswood. The main road through Chatswood is Victoria Ave. Scott's Creek is about a 30 minute walk. It is on Penshurst St in a park. Contact me for clues to help w/out GPS. Or you can catch the bus 273 from the station down Victoria Ave and ask the driver to ...

Re: logging caches you can't find?
I'm confused - if someone couldn't find it and didn't log the no find how do you know they have been there? One possible explanation is that they found it eventually and wrote about their DNF's in the log book. Exactly. In this case though, they finally logged a DNF which said they'd failed to find...

logging caches you can't find?
Guys, Does everyone do this?
I've just done a maintainence check on one of my caches ("Incinerator"), after 2 people logged it saying they couldn't find it. But - these logs show firstly that
1) another team was also there but didn't find it - but they didn't log their visit
2) one cache...
